  • It’s not very often I get to shoot a 1920-themed wedding. It speaks to the character and fun that Kevin and Rochelle wanted for their wedding. Everyone genuinely enjoyed being part of the day. The day took place at the Hawthorne Hotel in Salem, Massachusetts. With a hurricane taking place down south we were all keeping and I am the weather. Luckily it dissipated and we had a beautiful day. We started doing some photography of them getting ready in different rooms. We had some really nice light to get some nice portraits. They chose to do the first look and pictures of the family at a beautiful park adjacent to the Peabody Essex’s museum. The ceremony and reception took place in the ballroom. I always like photographing a Jewish wedding as there are so many fun traditions, such as getting married under the hopa and the breaking of the glass. The rest of the evening was filled with fun, laughter, and a great dance crowd. It was the perfect combination of the candid, photo journalistic imagery, combined with some fun portraits. I’m so glad I was able to be part of the day.
