Thanks for the advices. You and Cymatics are one of the few companies that constantly give us fun for producing music. Besides, free plugins and free sounds, something I really appreciate when one is an independent artist with low budget :D
make as many beats as you can and you train your ear!!! Your sound selection becomes so good as you make beats every single day and stay consistent!!!! ✌🏼 cheers!
Hoping you can make a video on how to get a clear, full, boomy, non-poopy sounding low end. With your no BS approach to how you give us info, I think it would help a bunch of us noobs. No matter how much I try I can’t seem to perfect this aspect of my beats. EQing out lows from other tracks, compression, saturation, etc. Still can’t seem to get that boom boom proper. Prolly need to treat my room. But if you say you’re mixing on laptop speakers to start the mix, then finish in a studio to get the lows right. I’d love to see that process if you think that would make a good video. I know I would. Thanks. Your company is dope. Y’all are amazing. Mad props
Your passion for teaching and your dedication to my growth has inspired me in ways I cannot put into words. Thank you for shaping my career.God bless. Slim from Uganda
That’s great advice man 👌🏼 especially about having a long game in mind and getting the work / life balance right! Very inspiring and I think your company is awesome.. very authentic and great samples (I bought a few libraries a while back!) - Power to you ❤
Drew Cymatics, YOU ARE A GENIUS. You know how to promote and market something without letting them know that you are advertising, promoting and marketing.
I've only been making beats for 9 months and a lot of people are surprised how fast I progressed but I was a beatboxer before and I think I am naturally good with the drums because back in high school I was in music class and the class was practicing for a show and I said let me use the drums and help you guys didn't know how to really read notes so when he played the whole song on the speaker and it was are turn to play it with the instruments I played the rhythm effortlessly and a lot of people was so surprised I won't lie I was kinda surprised myself but then I realized I am naturally gifted with drums ever since I've been beatboxing since a little kid
I’m from Gainesville Ga and I wanna say I appreciate everything you say and do! Every time you upload a video I am act like a sponge and soak it up! Thank you Steven!✊🏽
Thanks bro I really appreciate the advice. The part where you talked about being in a rush to release music really resonated with me because I've been trying to learn and release as much as I could in a short space of time and taking the long term approach would really help in me actually becoming better.
These are valuable and at the same time priceless wisdom! Thanks for sharing these tips! Cymatics I general has inspired me to start making music again which has been my dormant hobby for years now. Thanks for what you do!
We really need another video like the one with producergrind. You spitting sauce for brands/ selling kits. I belive I heard most stuff already but lets see what you got yk I guess you learned more stuff since the last interview. I btw really like the video 🔥🔥
I do believe your right and it’s exactly what I’ve been telling my girl but I’ve been trying to make songs but do you recommend going to a studio for final drafts?
Thanks for the great advice! i am a new producer, i use Fl Studio and i do have a question i dont know if you have covered it before cuz i didnt see anything but could you do a video in more depth on file organization, like for example like how do you organize your sounds and vst's. i feel like my files are all over the place and or i'm looking for a sound that i know i have and then i spend hours trying to find it and that kills my mood sometimes! thanks
Great tips! For anyone seeing this, don’t dwell over too one… I posted a few songs within the first year of production and they got hundreds of thousands of plays… so idk I don’t 110% agree with #1
I just wanna get better at making music brother. Would love to have a mentor show me the way. More than 10 years in, but really need someone be there with me on this journey.. Have all those samples etc etc but not putting in the work actually. Just need someone to give me tasks day to day basis....
Because it really does take forever to get good. Several times in your journey you will realize that you suck. Then, you'll improve more, but eventually realize you still suck once again. It's a long learning process. That will happen several times.
Improve your words - On point no 3 You choose the wrong words - You just told us subconsciously that we are good with our unfinished projects , That shouldn't be true , Yes your intention is right but the words are wrong It could be sketch ideas fast and then finish the best one - And you said make more song and finish less - Felt Like misleading
It's never too late to start doing what you love! I'm 34 and decided to change my career path and studies to focus on what I always wanted to do... music!

How can you save automatically your song in FL and in the Dropbox at the same time?
Set the save location to the local version of your Dropbox folder
The whole video felt like "Wait for your release till you get better" in reality if you wait to get better it's gonna take us forever ♾️
Using reference tracks could be a solution
