Lyrics and concept are inspired by time I spent at the Chichen Itza pyramid in Mexico. The story is about the Maya Civilization and human sacrifice.

One of the most criminally underrated bands of the 2000’s Haji deserves more recognition.
Originally a 90's band. People would probably have called that iteration Creed-ish. Should be the other way around: Creed was Haji-ish.
Style developed with new singer in the 00's, but they've still got some of that bit of their old stuff in them. You can usually hear it, but esp during guitar solos. Funnily enough, Dan kinda sounds like a cross or perhaps somewhere else close to center between the other two singers too.

I grew up listening to Haji's Kitchen trying to emulate Rob's style. Blown away they worked got Daniel for this project. Upset after their first album, this is happier. Wish I could hear more of Stankiewicz and Blakeley.

So much precision was put into performing this! That's more swell than hell!
I agree, my favorite part is where he sings in what feels like harmonic major (the line goes F#, E,G,F#,F#,E,D#,E,F#) and then the guitar is doing a cool little riff on the root(B). So it feels minor but he hits the III which gives it that floaty feel.
