If he had truly read the whole thing, he would’ve 100% seen the “fine print” (which isn’t really fine because it’s literally bolded ☠️) unless he cant read or he has horrible eyesight. The print was very visible so it’s not illegal in this case

He was smart, he made a system that basically gave him 40 bucks for doing nothing, it was unfair for the one doing the chores but like bad wages are very, very common. The only mistake he made was not reading the contract. But if i was him i would've done them, i'd die for 50 bucks per chores like thats so much.

The kid is doing a really smart thing in this video, that's the perfect entrepreneurial mindset that someone must have in order to become successful, he pays someone a certain fraction of the money that is being earned, but keeps the majority in order to make somewhat of a profit, and as time goes on, that money multiplies until you can get more and more employees, and then you make even more money, and get even more employees, and the cycle just continues to grow until you've built an empire. In real life, a kid with that kind of mindset early on, is only destined for success.
