I tried the Maybelline Superstay Matte Liquiq Ink liquid lipstick....I had watched your earlier reviews before buying. And OMG...I had to through the tube away the day I bought...I tried to put it on my lips like 10times and make it work. It's like some "Plastic paint" which is so hard to puton and looks so cracked and dry and what not. Worst Liquid lipstick experience ever !!!

I personally have tried the Maybelline one and I had to throw it in the bin. I stay in Kolkata btw. Haven't tried the colorbar or sugar ones. Have used the Chambor liquid lipstick which is good...not super long lasting but not as much drying also. Still looking for a good liquid lipstick...have tried the Milani Amore matte liquid lipstick...not worth it, too drying, difficult to apply. I guess I have to spend on MAC finally as I own other Mac lipsticks for few years now !
I agree. Maybelline matte inks last way more longer than other expensive brands. I did a wear test and 3-4 days later you could still see the colour on lips and it didn't move or smudge. It is a bit sticky after applying but it eventually goes away. You can eat and drink anything and the colour doesn't disappear. It also doesn't make your lips feel dry. It looks better if you exfoliate as well.
I literally love them both but, the stick lines of the liquid is what throws me off so much. Love the scent of these and how moisturizing the crayons are but, the lipsticks are good and have mad staying power just they are sticky as hell and take at least 5-10 mins to dry down totally which I don’t have the time for. Been sticking with the NYX lip plump crayons and they’re really really great! They have a tingle and a plump sensation and last forever and ever. I drink lots of chai and smoke my vape here and there and they last! Oil based makeup remover or the Neutrogena oil based makeup remover with a cotton round removes it no problem. They are really hard to get off. Globetrotter is almost an EXACT dupe for out loud from smashbox always on liquid! I love it! Great review girl!
I wear Matte ink liquid lip in seductress every single day for work. My coworkers are always asking how i always have lipstick on lol! Never reappy or touch up and i have to take it off with oil at the end of the day. New formula looks interesting!
I also love this liquid lipstick! A trick I use to remove it is to repaint the lips, wait about 30 seconds or so for it to "melt" the dry layer and then wipe off with a dry tissue. This works like magic and is much more gentle than vigorously rubbing!
Hey Em! I also have Self-starter but sadly it oxidized on me and turned so dark. The staying power is good though. These crayons just got released here in the PH, though I haven’t seen the entire collection. I’m into Bobbi Brown’s crushed liquid lip right now, I hope you can get some of it too, it’s really good! 😘

I take mine off so easy by applying chapstick, rubbing my lips together and wipe away easily with a napkin, tissue or towel. That’s how I touch up also after the inner corners start to disappear. Apply some chapstick and rub lips together so it smooths out like new.

I tried out Laugh Louder; although I like the color and the built in sharpener, if I was going to wear something that will stay on my lips, I personally prefer the SuperStay Matte Ink.
Olive oil removes the liquid lipstick very nicely. I’m a big fan of the line and that’s my go to lipstick remover. Plus it conditions my lips after. Ps love the videos.
Yes, any oil, cleansing balm, waterproof makeup remover should work! In a pink your petroleum jelly lip balm is good too! I really wanted to show how hard they are to remove without anything lol
Honestly used this for 36hours straight (i'm undergoing residency training at a hospital) and it does. Not. Budge. My lipsticks usually rub off due to the multiple changing of face masks,but this is really #1 in staying power.
The liquid lipsticks used to be a real pain for me to remove too, and I even tried the most recommended makeup removers like Garnier's micellar water but I found out (by mistake) that a simple chapstick/lip balm removes it so easily. I don't know if the brand Labello is found in every country, but I bet something like the classic chapsticks would work as well.

Fun lipstick removal tip: In a pinch, you can use chapstick to remove this type of liquid lipstick. Just swipe on some regular old chapstick, rub your lips together a little, and then wipe it off with a cloth. It works really well, not as well as actually makeup remover, but pretty dang well!
Same here! I'm 26 and I came across Emily when trying to figure out what lipstick to buy. Unfortunately, I can't make the Maybelline colors (which I can found in the drug stores) work for me. But I did wear Ruler to my cousin's wedding and if I didn't try to reapply it (I forgot about it when I was wiping ma mouth after soup and got freaked out by the red napkin), it would have stayed until morning. Alas, it did crumble a bit.

Btw, oil dissolves the wax and other ingredients in makeup, so any oil you’re not allergic to should help remove foundation, mascara and lipstick better than most wipes. I use anything really...Olive, coconut, grapeseed... then foam wash after. Works like a charm :)
I remove the SuperStay Ink ones with any oil from my kitchen (olive, coconut, canola, peanut), Vaseline, or Clinique's Take the Day Off balm. Otherwise, they are unmovable.

Thank you! To be honest I'm feeling mostly okay but there were some tough days, especially after getting comments on here. I think once the swelling/stiffness goes down and braces bring back my teeth to their original position, I'll be very happy and the overall changes will be minimal :) I like to add jokes in the comments or description so it's all light teasing!
BeautywithEmilyFox Yeah the braces will get you fixed right up! When I was 30 I got braces and I was amazed at how it restructured my face. We are with you all the way! When you are feeling low keep looking at those before and afters!
Great vid, I also love Maybelline lipsticks. Most are better than high end ones. BTW, the liquid lippies are very easely removed with makeup melting balms, like Farmacy or Pond's (not the cold cream). Those work like a dream for very long lasting lippies.
I've been using the Matte Inks for years, loved the formula and longevity. Minor con is how difficult it is to wipe off at the end of the day. The struggle is real. Haha. So years forward, when I saw the Crayons just now at my local drugstore at 50% off, I immediately bought 4 of them (No. 20 already sold out, sobs). Hopefully these will be my new favourites! 😊

Im a huge fan of liquid lipstick and i had struggled to find the one that last long, light, and not clumpy until i use maybelline superstay. It is the best liquid lipstick ever. For the removal part, sometimes i use oil cleanser, and its very easy to wipe it off after rubbing the lips with some of it 😁 Loveeee your videos, and i had subbed right away! 😍😘
The liquid lipsticks are definitely the longest lasting lipsticks ever. I much prefer them to some of my high end lipsticks! I need to try one of the crayons.

The most tenacious liquid lipsticks are extremely easy to remove with an e.l.f. product that is a clear, silicone looking lipstick remover. It comes in a little tube, and I just take a small amount, apply it to my lips, and in a few seconds the lipstick is completely dissolved. It is magic. Apparently maybelline has a similar product in the states. The elf remover was ordered online directly from e.l.f., I haven't seen it anywhere in Canada.
wanted to let you know that maybelline came out w a super stay matte ink remover “lipstick” that comes in a black tube. you apply it before using a makeup wipe and it all comes right off.
I haven't seen the paler colors tested and wonder if they stay in place for the same amount of time. Reds will because of intense pigment. Your video is very helpful and I will be trying one of these. The problem with these videos is we all have naturally different color lips, yours are a lovely shade but mine are very pale and one of my friends has quite red lips so all lipstick colors will look different! Lisa Maria This happens to me all the time too!! I think it’s less noticeable with colours similar to your lips... but I think it’s unavoidable 😩 just because that part of your lips is wetter
It happens to me sometimes too, especially with darker shades. The only way I can keep it looking fresh is with a very thin touch up. But it’s still the most comfortable liquid lip so it’s worth having to touch up after like six hours

I don’t understand how you say the liquid lipsticks are not drying, I felt like my lips will fall off because it was sooo dry and uncomfortable... maybe I’m just too used to cream lipsticks, but it’s not the only liquid lipis I’ve got. Will try the new formula, hopefully it’s the perfect combination between the two!
I definitlly prefer the crayon now, but if I'd never fallen in love with the ink I know I'd have probably not tried the crayon because the formula is so good. I just find I can more easily remove the crayon without making my poor lips hurt so much and its much easier to do touch ups!
The best way to remove those is an oil based remover. I use Clinique Take the Day Off. But there's probably other cheaper options out there (I usually try to find sales and stock up, it lasts a solid amount of time!). I feel like in a pinch, on a trip, I would maybe try to use some olive oil (ONLY ON THE LIPS!!) to fully remove it.
The vdo indeed is very helpful ...had been sceptical if Maybelline lip crayons were as transfer proof as the liquid lipsticks ...Emily wishing u a speedy recovery from India.

I don't think think I've seen the crayons in Australia yet but I hope I can get my hands on them soon. My issue with the matte ink is that it often disappears weirdly in the inner part of my mouth and I'm annoyed since I can't reapply it because it's a liquid lipstick 😅 Still love them tho. 👀
Jan A. When it does that weird thing, try applying a little chapstick and rubbing your lips together! It breaks down the lipstick a little so it can smooth out and fill in where it’s worn off. That’s also how I take mine off so easy by applying a bunch of chapstick and wiping it away with a napkin or tissue.
Yeah the superstay ink liquid is really pain in the ass when i want to remove it. Based on my experience, the only thing that can melt it perfectly and easily is.... Banila Co cleansing balm.
I remove my Superstay Ink with Vaseline, it swipes right off and moisturises at the same time. Do you ever wear glosses or a balm over them? I find anything I put on top reduces the staying power, but I think the matte look ages me too much.

Rimmel Provocalips is the longest wearing color ever. The only drawback is they discontinued some of the best colors.

Lisa Maria This happens to me all the time too!! I think it’s less noticeable with colours similar to your lips... but I think it’s unavoidable 😩 just because that part of your lips is wetter
It happens to me sometimes too, especially with darker shades. The only way I can keep it looking fresh is with a very thin touch up. But it’s still the most comfortable liquid lip so it’s worth having to touch up after like six hours

I don’t understand how you say the liquid lipsticks are not drying, I felt like my lips will fall off because it was sooo dry and uncomfortable... maybe I’m just too used to cream lipsticks, but it’s not the only liquid lipis I’ve got. Will try the new formula, hopefully it’s the perfect combination between the two!

I definitlly prefer the crayon now, but if I'd never fallen in love with the ink I know I'd have probably not tried the crayon because the formula is so good. I just find I can more easily remove the crayon without making my poor lips hurt so much and its much easier to do touch ups!
The best way to remove those is an oil based remover. I use Clinique Take the Day Off. But there's probably other cheaper options out there (I usually try to find sales and stock up, it lasts a solid amount of time!). I feel like in a pinch, on a trip, I would maybe try to use some olive oil (ONLY ON THE LIPS!!) to fully remove it.
Love the liquid lipsticks! Maybelline sells a lipstick remover specifically for these lipsticks! You have to try it. It works great!

Best way to remove liquid lipstick is with dry oil. It comes right off. Hope that helps!

The matte ink liquid lipstick lasts up to 48 hours for me! I go to work, eat lunch, dinner and its still there on the top lips at night!

My issue with the matte ink is that it often disappears weirdly in the inner part of my mouth and I'm annoyed since I can't reapply it because it's a liquid lipstick 😅

Jan A. When it does that weird thing, try applying a little chapstick and rubbing your lips together! It breaks down the lipstick a little so it can smooth out and fill in where it’s worn off. That’s also how I take mine off so easy by applying a bunch of chapstick and wiping it away with a napkin or tissue.

Yeah the superstay ink liquid is really pain in the ass when i want to remove it. Based on my experience, the only thing that can melt it perfectly and easily is....

what is the shade you used in the liquid lipstick?
I remove my Superstay Ink with Vaseline, it swipes right off and moisturises at the same time. Do you ever wear glosses or a balm over them? I find anything I put on top reduces the staying power, but I think the matte look ages me too much.
