Glad I found your channel great video I'm also a scooter moto-vlogger who is on my 2nd year of riding and vlogging I got a 50cc and 150cc as you mentioned the 50cc is nice but I was limited to where I could go on my 150cc more options became available 🙂👍 I subscribed
Excellent video and interesting subject, Onyx. I think that most people who have been riding for awhile will consider getting a Big Bore Kit. After you got in that fender bender and then bought your car, I thought for sure you would have quit riding or maybe upgrading to a motorcycle. I was so glad to see you sticking with your Zuma and going the BBK route. Thank you for sharing your projects and ideas. Ride safe.
The only other pro that I would consider is the satisfaction of completing a job like that. Like a lot of bikers would do as much of the work as possible and there is a certain amount of satisfaction and accomplishment that comes with it. And it does make you feel more comfortable with working on a bike after doing a huge task like this. Suddenly the small jobs like valve adjustment don’t seem as scary lol
Great video❗️and you made many good points. I used to love just to work on my scooter and motorcycles but I am way to old now and can barely ride ever once in a while. My little Zumba 125cc is just about all I can still handle, but it’s still fun❗️👍✅🤗👏🛵
Oh have times changed! I remember when you first got the scooter. A Big Bore Kit was out of the question :) glad to see how far into the dark side you have jumped!
I spent alot of money on attempting to put a Big Bore Kit on my old 50cc Zuma and failed... Looks like you had some issues also. Glad to see you got it to work!!!
So for someone who has just bought one of these and wants it to be a little more nippy, would a 'rolling wrench beast mode tuner' suffice? Are there other little cheap bolt ons to make this thing faster?
i am not familiar with the 'rolling wrench tuner' but ive seen some of his video, looks lik ehe knows his stuff. Like the old saying goes, and this is just my opinion but 'there is no replaement, for displacement'. If your willing to spend $200 on a tuner, why not spend $350 on a 155cc big bore kit from rcscooters and call it done. www.rcscooters.com/product-page/155bbk Its bolt on, no tuner needed, no exhaust need, its reliabe. just break it in hella slow or it will blow. Down side is your gonna have to pull the engine to do the work but more importantly you have torque and speed gains you can feel right away, and for life. you can tune a stock car and get some gains, but now lets scale it down. and tune a stock 8hp scooter. what are you really gonna get. The 155cc bbk will get you to 11-12 and about 60-65 mph top speed. Get some michalen bopper tires and do the cvt trick and you be closer to a solid 65 ,and the extra torque will get up those hills I blew my first kit, and had to spend money on a second. but i dont regret it one bit. It really adds some life to the scooter. hope this helps one way or another, Peace
I have to agree with the pro that the added power can be a safety plus with regards to traffic. Often times removing yourself with a twist of the wrist is better than the application of brakes. Of course the nipple rubbing wins out.
i don't know exactly how much horsepower, torque, or what my 0-60 times are. I do know that with the stock final gear i was able to pop wheelies, impressive for my heavy zuma and i was reaching top speeds of about 60-65. After i replaced the final gear my new top speed was around 70-75 maybe 80, all i know is that on a long enough straight i could bury the needle. Thanks for asking
@@mopedmessiah who are you getting your kit from? what is stage 1? i think you will be very happy with a 175cc, and the slight up gear is a smart move, a little more on the top end and you can sacrifice a little torque because you're moving up in CC anyways... keep me posted

What happened to your 164 kit , you should put up a video about exactly what failed.
What was your performance with your 175? And did you have a cam and all that?

@@OnyxHaze thanks for answering! Im either doing anywhere from a 158 to 175 on my Zuma or a full 150 kit on a Vino 125. Gonna get spicy either way
@@mopedmessiah awesome, enjoy the gains my friend !
@@OnyxHaze update, gonna do the stage 1 175 with a very slight upgear. Hopefully i can keep a bunch of torque and still so over 70

did you catch the end ?
@@OnyxHaze lmao I watched up to twelve minutes. That should be it's own Instagram post.

Great microphone setup
im actually a little disappointed with the audio quality, but thank you
