I’m by no means a pro fighter but I study fights extensively. This wasn’t said or if it was I missed it. One of Jonny bones’s best assets is his ability to break off from engagement, he will never stand and bang with someone because he knows the threat that poses, another thing I want to add to that statement is a lot of his strikes are not there primarily to do damage but he disrupts your timing A LOT. Watch a lot of his old fights, he uses all of his tools to stop what you want to do when you’re about to do it. Not a lot of people will catch that. Specifically talking about people who haven’t seen his older videos. Eh, jons disengage only works when hes the faster fighter, which he almost always has been in his fights. You call it disengage, i call it running away, yes i know its smarter to play safe rather than stand and bang, but that doesnt change the fact that its what most fight fans (not fighter fans) want to see. Mayweather caught flack for it for the rest of his career after he injured his hands and its still a point of contention amongst boxing fans to this day and many dont consider him a goat because of his choosey money fights and defensive/disengage style. I get it that Tom is favorite if he fights Jon but if you look at the history of all the fighters Jon fought, they all looked terrific before they fought him. They all were dynamic, fast until they are locked in the octagon with him and once in there, they fight his fight. There is a reason why he is on top for 16 years with 16 title fight defenses. We will see how the fight with Tom go but believe it or not, there are some special athletes in each sport and Jon is surely the one in MMA.
I think Stipe had no kicks, all his tools were his fists and his face to eat all the damage and he looked really slow. I'm glad he retired after all the damage he took in his two last fights. Vary rare to have dynamic heavyweights in combat sports. The NFL has dynamic heavyweights, however, never seen a dynamic heavyweight with endurance. They are usually explosive and powerful and run out of gas, the key is to bring them into deep waters (late rounds) and use endurance as a weapon on their gas tank. This only works if you are skillful, disciplined and have some dynamics yourself. Jon should retire, time is undefeated and pride gets deflated.
Reminds me of after Mayweather was nearing the end of his career. He's hand-picking fights he knows he'll dominate. Can't blame him for not wanting to risk his legacy, but let's call it what it is. He's afraid of Tom. You have guys like Khabib fighting everyone. Mighty even giving guys second or third chances to beat him without clear advantages. This was also NOT a title defense. It was never his belt and he fought a 42 year old guy who hasn't competed in several years. This was an L for UFC fans everywhere.

The real goat vs goat needs to happen next, Jon Jones vs Mike Tyson
We need Jon Jones vs His Wife VOID BREAKDOWN ASAP
Im gonna tell my kids this was Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul
Mighty did you used to train at united thai and mma I’m currently training there now
If that dead body version of Stipe was able to even touch Jones, then Aspinall puts Jones in the ground round 1
Mighty Mouse ❌ Mighty Void ✅
Video starts Stipe was retired video ends
Francis is the Only Heavyweight with a Reach closets to Jon Jones at 83. Tommy Boy is a 78
Because he fought a 42 year old who last fought nearly 5 years ago where he got ko’d
jon is 37 and has not fought in longer that gane fight hardly counts it was half a round with hardly any striking
Go to a gym and train…get some knowledge or whatever before you speak kid lol
They could mitigate the eyepokes with better gloves.
Jon should retire, time is undefeated and pride gets deflated.
cain was one frank mir was close to being one aswell
Reminds me of after Mayweather was nearing the end of his career. He's hand-picking fights he knows he'll dominate. Can't blame him for not wanting to risk his legacy, but let's call it what it is. He's afraid of Tom.
You have guys like Khabib fighting everyone. Mighty even giving guys second or third chances to beat him without clear advantages.
This was also NOT a title defense. It was never his belt and he fought a 42 year old guy who hasn't competed in several years. This was an L for UFC fans everywhere.
Hey Demetrious Johnson. I have been obsessing about the Mighty Mouse vs Eddie Hall matchup. I've been talking about it in many discord servers. How do you see it go?
I don't know what this is but I am watching it anyway
This video coulda been 25 seconds instead of 25 minutes….
Stipe hardly moved I don’t think this one needs a breakdown
I wouldn't be mad if Jon retires but I'll be mad if he has another HW defence that's not Tom
Might mason the freemason is not the goat. Jones a jesus fearing man is the true goat
Tom needs goggles if he wants to stand a chance
best ever
That was such a boring fight. We all knew who was gonna win lol Dana needs to do better
17:40
What would DJ know about any of that? 😂
I just wonder what people are going to say after Jon beats Aspinall
Jones won bc stipe waa not the same guy he used to be.
It’s about Drive
It’s about Power
Somehow this comes across as hate for Jon Jones....age, oh he fought someone older; speed, he's not as fast as he used to be at light heavy. Hopefully I'm wrong.
Jones has a lot to prove at heavyweight still, dude won a vacated title and now has a win against old man stipe. Fight Tom ! A real heavyweight challenge!
Jones has nothing to prove he’s the GOAT. Ya’ll are hyping the Heavyweight division up and Tom Aspinall up like he’s a legend of the sport. Dude has fought probably the weakest line up UFC heavyweights. Besides Jon jones nobody on the current Heavyweights roster is better than Daniel Cormier or has the skills and resume to back that up.
JJ has 6.5 inch reach advantage over Tom,does that matter if those 2 fight each other?
