the ending. all of them, even if they are suffering, stand up one by one without saying a word to continue what they have started, despite the mourning and the difficulties, in order not to go back to hell. Hell is out here, as Shakespeare said. the ending of the Village is pure poetry. what melancholy.
I just saw this for the fist time and was like, where has this movie been all my life? It was all so beautiful like a dream: the places, the characters, the dresses, and of course, the music. Shyamalan made a great choice with the composer in Signs, it really made the movie stand out. And he did it again with this one.
This is a timelessly beautiful score and one of my favourites. I've used it in meditations. It proves how even movies that don't succeed can still earn elements always worth enjoying. Thank you for posting it and thank you, James.
Para mi el mensaje de esta hermosa película es "Nos matamos entre sí, nos mentimos entre sí, y nos creamos miedos entre sí, pero también nuestro amor hace que el mundo siga, aunque seguimos siendo aquellos monstruos"
Wonderful movie♡♡♡♡ awesom Plot Twist and really sad♡♡♡..... unbelivabel this Letter they read and this Soundtrack here.... the credits..... pohhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!

Jonkhuis Producties Yes! My dad listened one CD of vaugan whiliams with theme of Thomas Tallis! I falled in love of that song! You have perfectly reason!
me encanta esta película :) la ha visto varias veces y los soundtracks son una maravilla, los aprecio mucho... la hacen especial. La# La# Sol Sol Fa Sol....

Vaughan Williams’ Lark Ascending influence in the violin starting about 1:30? Some quotes almost verbatim! James Newton Howard knows good music when he hears it. As do us here listening to him
This music fills me with a great sense of sadness. I don't recommend listening to it with earbuds/headphones while alone. Otherwise you might break down.
semi-spoiler alert (dont know) The ending. all of them, even if they are suffering, stand up one by one without saying a word to continue what they have started, despite the mourning and the difficulties, in order not to go back to hell. Hell is out here, as Shakespeare said. the ending of the Village is pure poetry. what melancholy.
i think this should be called "Grace and Edward's Untold Story" or something. it's so sad when he says, "it is all that i can give you" and then walks away :( boohoohoo

One of the MOST BEAUTIFUL SCORES IN HISTORY, when the music ended I was speechless
The twist was that it was never a thriller movie, it was a love story
It also became kind of magical in a way.
@@iamme25yago And he did the same for her. th-cam.com/video/NfxnbZC6vBw/w-d-xo.html
This movie is beauty and truth. It is poetry. Not a “thriller” or “love story.”
@SS-uf7ks it is a love story, and a story about how suffering is inevitable as long as there is love, there is the chance someone gets hurt.
It clearly had thriller elements.
The most beautiful and poetic scene of the movie, there are so much feelings that no word needed to be spoken.
Thanks to composer J.N. Howard, and the virtuoso
Violinist H. Hahn emotionally charged and
Impeccably performed
BRAVO...

Who is still listening in 2020? I bought this when it first came out. I could listen to it infinitely. So beautifully haunting.
2021 here 😄
2021 🙌
Ich auch. 🎶❤️😊
WASSUP. Imma make sure this is played at my funeral (hopefully *MANY* years down the line).
For eternity
Aaahhh~
This movie was such an odd masterpeice.

Tending my garden to this this morning while the world falls apart. Perfect song choice if I do say so myself. Peace be unto all ❤️
My God, this must be the most beautiful track i have ever heard!❤
0:00 to 1:10 is really one of the most beautiful music I ever heard, espacially the change at 0:40 and the way the main theme appears at 0:43.
Eldor503 Agreed
This movie is a masterpiece in every imaginable way.
The whole thing is beautiful
4:00 and on seals the deal for me. All of it is stunning. I love the bombastic intro too.
This track in particoular remind me to Vaughan Williams composing style.
Such a beautiful film and the music at the end-with photo's- is so emotional and moving. Wonderful. 😅
I love this movie.
This is so gorgeous.
Very underrated movie for sure. I think it's honestly quite brilliant.
One of the best modern scores ......love the Lydian passages ! inspiring! Bravo !!!
I'm curious, could you perhaps say what passages those are?
Apparently not
I thought I would never have liked this movie. But now i listen to this song daily, it’s just so beautiful and soft ❤️
This alone motivates me to play music. I'm going to play this.
Hillary Hahn, the violinist with an effortless display of a virtuoso
Violinist...bravo
Beautiful soundtrack, so emotional! Bravo

Beautiful! Gives me goosebumps every time! Reminds me of another wonder piece The Lark Ascending by Ralf Vaughan Williams 💖
Ms. Hahn's version of said piece of music is outstanding.
Love the picture of Ivy at the end of the credits.
LOVE The score its 1 of the many things i love about a good movie not just the acting or the story but the score
I wasn't a fan of the movie, but the soundtrack is one I could listen to all day long. Rightfully nominated work!
So beautiful...
I need this video on an hour loop ❤
FUNFACT: The soloist was (I believe) 19 when she did this.
Woooowwwww
Hillary Hahn...
24 or 25 actually (but nonetheless brillant). She's born in 1979 and the movie was released in 2004.
Outstanding.
just beauty in a score
"When you call me, can you introduce me as Luicius?"
- Joaquin Johnny Joker Cash Commodus Freddie Qwell Phoenix
This is a timelessly beautiful score and one of my favourites. I've used it in meditations. It proves how even movies that don't succeed can still earn elements always worth enjoying. Thank you for posting it and thank you, James.
It was the first movie where I saw Bryce Dallas Howard and she was phenomenal.

This is so beautiful
Beautiful and touched.
I love this movie too!❤️😀😉👍
The best of them all!
Incredible
I wish to know how to play violin to play this wonderful piece, absolutely stunning.
Sublime... ❤❤❤
Brilliance!!!
Hillary Hahn for this performance remains in my memory....
Oh, wow............... I'm impressed, it is so beautiful.....
Hilary Hahn is amazing.
I wish there was a live performance of the full thing with her playing.

Some parts of the music and the overall style reminds me of Ralph Vaughan Williams' Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis
Jonkhuis Producties Yes! My dad listened one CD of vaugan whiliams with theme of Thomas Tallis! I falled in love of that song! You have perfectly reason!
Yes! I can hear that in it!
Priceless moment.
Even our fur kids get teary at the violins
me encanta esta película :) la ha visto varias veces y los soundtracks son una maravilla, los aprecio mucho... la hacen especial. La# La# Sol Sol Fa Sol....
favorite part 1:15 - 4:09 so beautiful :)
Meraviglia!!!!!!
Incredibly beautiful
Master piece.
Wonderful
My favorite scene.
Your favorite scene is the one where you see names of people lol..?
Max Vincenzi omg i almost pissed myself.....that sir, was awesome:) lmao
Matthew Kay x) that was a pleasure^^
Max Vincenzi There is another scene in the film featuring this theme.....
Gabrel Conner Yeah I know ;) it's true^^
1:15 This is like two beings living in a time they don't belong, but loving timelessly.
I miss this Shymalan style...
My one criteria for the woman I marry is that she listens to this song and loses herself to a pensive stare into the distance
2:07 - 3:27 An actual cadenza.
1:27 - Gdy słucham tej muzyki, przenosi mnie ona do domu, albo jak Mickiewicz by to ujął:
"Do tych pagórków leśnych, do tych łąk zielonych'
Szeroko nad błękitnym Niemnem rozciągnionych,
Do tych pól malowanych zbożem rozmaitem
Pozłacanych przenicą, posrebrzanych żytem."
Thanks for putting out ost , this is Fall and i really enjoying it till the end.
Ps. The end was surprising and very subtle.
Begening reminds me Max Richter's November
Violino e tudo ❤️
Vaughan Williams’ Lark Ascending influence in the violin starting about 1:30? Some quotes almost verbatim! James Newton Howard knows good music when he hears it. As do us here listening to him
I always imagin the first sound of this track as the sound of a real warp drive.
great..
This music fills me with a great sense of sadness. I don't recommend listening to it with earbuds/headphones while alone. Otherwise you might break down.
Why is this not apart of the soundtrack available on Spotify
Elder Movie yes!! I don’t understand. I had a physical copy of the soundtrack years ago and it was included. It’s also not on iTunes
YES!!! I was thinking the same thing!
Minute 3. 20 gets me always.
Im not a big fan of JNH, but this score is a masterpiece!!
Awe.

Who’s listening in 2021?
de 1:27 a 4:10 el violin es espectacular maravilloso y totalmente embriagador

Is this another song on the soundtrack?
When the credits play this is the song. You probably already know this but whatever
Why isn’t this song on the soundtrack? At least not on Apple Music
beginning is very good, than it's just same melody
Why isnt this song on the soundtrack?
***** I....... THINK I LOVE YOU, BUT WHAT AM I SO AFRAID OF ?!?!
lol
Thanks !!
It is, at the end of the track Those who we dont speak about. Sorry for coming 4 years later
Alfie Garse it isn’t on the soundtrack that’s on Spotify or iTunes. Those who we don’t speak about is a different track.

I believe Yo Yo Ma was the violinist/soloist. Some of the most moving music I've ever heard.
Ma is a cellist, dude. Hilary Hahn was the violinist.
