Whatever makes them comfortable honestly, gosh, especially the frictions burns. I always thought about the friction between the thighs too (cos most players i see in our country have solid thighs and i wonder if it doesnt coz too much friction...coz i experience them lmao). There are knee guards too, but yeah, the dive hit the thighs. And the awkward.. pulling down 😅
Also, just how cold the venue can be. Im personally enjoying the "pressure" of leggings on the thighs, and feels like lightening weight depending on the durability of the material too...
As someone who is a male and plays basketball, I think that the option is very good, but you will still get buts(of course less), and leggings restrict movement a bit, so it’s between those pros and cons
I like leggings bcs i think its easier to dive in
I loved playing volleyball but I’ve always had a lot of ass and every time I had to put on those damn shorts I felt uncomfortable and everyone felt entitled to comment. I was in middle school when I first started and I had grown adult men talking about how they couldn’t wait for the high school games and how they hoped the shorts would get shorter. I’m so glad the folks are getting more of a choice.
I think giving the option is great! I could never wear anything but shorts in my situation as I get wayyyy too hot when I play.
I love the leggings!!! It’s so much better
This is great progress and I think it’s sad it has taken this long
Leggings also help with not getting too cold. My club season is in the winter and where we play it’s either really hot or really cold so it’s good to have options
I Love the options-ESPECIALLY for young athletes. 💕
Even someone who only casually played volleyball because of gym class whenever we did play in the normal gym, setting hurt when you landed and skipped a bit on the floor. One girl actually ended up having to go to the nurses office because it rubbed a thin layer of her skin off
YALL THATS WHERE I PRACTICE THE GYM IN THE LAST CLIP
I’m happy they gave us a choice, and as a volleyball player i like spandex more cause i feel comfortable in them and I feel confident. I’m also just used to playing in them and it allows my legs to breath
