Check out "The Lady Loves Me" "What'd I Say" and "Come On Everybody" from the Movie "Viva Las Vegas" to see Elvis And Ann together.
Elvis and Ann met on the set of the Movie Viva Las Vegas in 1963-1964 and the sparks flew on and off Screen, they were together for about a year when Elvis Broke it off and got Engaged to Priscilla who he Married in 1967.

She was in a few movies with Elvis and she played Roger Daltry, from The WHO, mother in the musical, Tommy circa 1975. I think she won a best actress in a musical award for that performance. She also had variety shows specials every now and then. There’s an awesome video of a duet with Tina Turner here on TH-cam.

Ann-Margret is quite the survivor. She started out at the end of the 50's while still a teen, was shortly afterwards discovered by George Burns who took her under his wing and nurtured her along until she was signed to her first film. She had a major success with her third movie Bye, Bye Birdie followed the next year with another major hit in Viva Las Vegas this time with Elvis Presley. After that she was a major star but mired in superficial flicks until she gave a breakthrough performance in the film Carnal Knowledge which resulted in the first of her two Oscar nominations (the other was for Best Actress in the Who's trippy musical "Tommy". )
Mixed in with her movie work she continued to perform in nightclubs and it was while preparing to make her entrance in a Lake Tahoe club that she fell 22 feet to the stage when the wires of the platform she was to be lowered on became tangled. She landed on her shoulder and face and suffered extensive injures and underwent elaborate surgeries but through sheer determination was back on stage within three months.
After her recovery she returned to films and spent the next several decades as a respected character actress moving between movies and television collecting multiple nominations along the way. While she remained active her career was interrupted at points when she had to care for her husband of 50 years Roger Smith who suffered from myasthenia gravis for many years until his death in 2017. But she's still in there pitching having just appeared in a film this year. An admirable woman, and quite beautiful, with a career worth investigating.

This was her screen test for the movie, Bye Bye Birdie, a huge hit she starred in that was wonderful musical based on the US Army drafting Elvis Presley at the height of his popularity in the late 50s. First a hit Broadway show, then the very entertaining movie. If you can find it, watch it!!! LOTS of fun, LOTS of GREAT music!!
Ann Margaret also starred with Elvis in a couple of his movies - find the dance sequence from Viva Las Vegas!! Lots more movies to her credit, & a very long, successful career as a nightclub headliner who put on a fabulous show!!!

Brother Jamal, Ann Margret played Tommy's Mother in "The Who - Tommy" movies. You probably know "Pinball Wizard" right? That's from the "Rock Opera" "Tommy" . You should react to "Christmas Morning" or "Excitement at Your Feet" ...or check out the movie for yourself. Tina Turner, Elton John, Eric Clapton, and more+ "The Who" of course! Man Ann Margret was a huge part of the success of that movie/album. It's a full length movie and it's trippy but, it's gotta be on your bucket list of music you need to check out !! ✌️❤️🎶🎸🙏

This would NOT have appeared on TV in 1961- NO WAY. Not dressed like that. Not dancing like that. No way Jose. Extraordinary talent but she would have had to put a dress on and tone it WAY down on TV in 1961.. Hell you couldn't say the word pregnant on TV- men and women couldn't SIT on the same bed- and they were all double beds on TV.

I'm guessing you've forgotten the way the June Taylor dancers and other female dance troupes dressed on TV in the 50's and 60's. And performers like Abby Lane, Anita Ekberg, and even the rare television appearances by Marylin Monroe. There was definitely some sexy woman on TV back then on variety shows and even as guests on early comedy shows of the era. Ann Mageret made her fist television appearance three months after this audition on the Jack Benny show. It seemed like the censors were more focused on the sitcoms and the portrayal of family situations.

This was tame compared to many artists back in the day. Even going back to the early 1900s. In some ways, the earlier, the more risque.
