- from TAMA'ITA'I KuegisKreations Facebook page: I hope you don't mind that I share this. so much grace, beauty and courage.....
Turn the volume all the way up. The palagis dubbed it to be "Like something out of a Disney Movie." With the recent wildfires that threatened different parts of the United States, help was sent out from American Samoa to assist firefighters. They're called Hand Crews, generally their job is to protect natural resources from the threat of a blaze by using hand tools on the outrigs of a designated area to prevent fire from scorching further. It requires physical agility & endurance- Samoans are well known by the Fire Departments in all of the U.S. to be among the best hand crews. Listen as this "Handcrew" of Samoans straight from the motherland do what all us Polynesians love to do when physically performing a task: sing. Their voices harmoniously echo through the forest as they approach their day's end in a symphony praising God for his protection & guidance over them. Isn't it beautiful? - ภาพยนตร์และแอนิเมชัน
Thumbs up if you are still watching this and tearing up 5 years later. These Heroes are singing the Samoan version of "What A Friend We Have in Jesus"
I went to university in Hawaii where there were many Tongans and Samoans; their languages and singing convinced me, if there was ever a heavenly language, its remnants are in Polynesia.
Thank you for sharing this, this means a lot 🤙🏾💯

thats so sweet😭

Ofaz brother😁
This is how God intended man to walk through the woods. Singing and protecting. Not drinking and shooting. Bless these men and may God keep their culture intact in this world.
The most beautiful voices in the world... Polynesians
Sounds like What a Friend We Have In Jesus...
AmeliaBlakeMusic it’s thanks all to god😁
You are right that is What a friend we have in Jesus.
Manu samoa version
Yes!

They came thousand miles to help out fellow Americans we should honer these brave Americans !!!!
samoan people is known as the happy people no matter whats the senerio
True true, we can go to a battlefield suffer a cyclone and tsunami and still be happy and give to God praise
Love how this is one of the church songs my family sings when doing the family prayer 🇼🇸
AMAZING! They know where their help comes from. Such good voices.
On the seal of American Samoa it says MuaMua le ATUA
Which means " God first "
I thx them for the help in our fire in Shasta County 🤙😂
Beautiful polyphonic sounds. Giving praise to god to keep their spirits and strength up. Talofa.
Such love! Thank you for your help during our fire season! Long live Samoa!
If bigfoot was in those woods, he is not anymor haha
🤣😅🤣😅🤣 kalofiiiiii
God will be with you till we meet again
Wonderful! Beats the old saying about "whistle while you work" by a country mile!
One of the most unique country's, that only fights environmental disaster, other than themselves or other country's. Keep it up uso's. 🤙
Are you sure? Have you been there.
@@247Tongan I'm sure that america Samoa ain't threatening other country's with nukes lol. I don't need to be there, to know how things are going on. Im a islander myself. I also have alot of Samoan friends as well, that migrated to the u.s.a. I heard alot stories and it ain't that bad, other than what's going on with the u.s and other surrounding countries.
Oh my god these men are a so wonderful!
(I have tears right now rolling down my face, because at one point in my life I felt the same!)
Why don’t Americans, born in America feel the same?
I am crying because of the way they are better Americans, than the ones born here!
Hopefully they will be the ones that help Americans understand what America stands for!
Thank You America Samoans for helping!
You ARE THE VERY BEST OF AMERICA!!!
On the other hand trump is what America has become.
And that is way too sad!
It’s the main reason for the tears!
Lots and lots and lots of tears!
Thank You American Simons!
May all the blessings be granted to you and yours!
Thank You!
Thank you for the comment and btw its Samoans not simions
And the sad thing is Americans Samoans don't even have full citizen rights or voting rights here in America even when doing these sacrifices for this country
,you mean Biden is what you have, Trump tried to bring God back into America...
What a Friend we Have in Jesus, sang in F major🙏🏻
What a Friend we Have in Jesus was made much more late than this song
God bless these wonderful brave men.
How moving - singing from the heart and soul ! And how giving of them to go to fight the wildfires. Bless them :)
Love how they nailed the piece: the tone of voice, two or three fighters having a line/chorus? to sing with the rest following during/after
Good thing about Samoan people they know how to respect, even there own Culture God
I'm proud your country proud..and most importantly God is much proud of you uso..keep it up lol
Thats tight! Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.
This is f***ing amazing.
That tune sounds like “Come To Zion!”
I think it's actually did you think to pray"
What you say is the LDS version. This is the protestant version.

Awesome that's a God's crew , I know I would want to work alone side of these brothers any day of the week , it's a part of the spirit we should carry every day vaa we do life , I'm betting that they are unstoppable !!!!
Mad respect...Doing what they do best. Tough sob's. Stepping in to lend a hand when they dont have to. Stay safe.
Love the spirit these fine men share thru their fantastic singing. Love it. ❤❤❤👍
Much alofas I always love seeing this video it’s just joyful and reminds me how many people just want to help (I’ve got firefighter cousins who tell me there’s some $$ for any deployed firefighter) but just the mission focus and the way they sing reminds me there’s still a little good
this is how our peoples raised, we start everything with God and we ended up with God...good job brothers...
Thank you all, for holding onto your truths and blasting it out too the world. Your culture never stops amazing me. From the first time I heard these I was in the Marine Corps. I was a 17 year old skinny Sicilian kid from the middle of Nebraska. I'll never forget that feeling of unity you guys beautifully display. I am incredibly blessed to have been in your presence as a fellow warrior. Thank you! Realize the power of your impacts bc y'all are changing the world brothers. It's a Slow adjustment upon witness it's consistently changing people!
Thank you for believing us my friend now you're belong to us and we belong to you brother...
You have the question the 5 people who disliked this. Really? Rethink your life.
That’s amazing these are true heroes especially today every one of the woodland fire teams are doing an awesome job may god be on their side

TAMA SAMOA BABYYYYY! MALO USOS! Love my people.

Next stop: Singing in the fire-breaks of China!
What a move!
Lived with Tongan and Samoans for 2 years. Love them. Everyone should go to a Polynesian church at least once in their lives. Makes me sad how many people are not religious or don’t believe in god.
I don't believe in god my friend, and I'm sure that's OK with a lot of people. I do love religious music however, I could listen to gospel tunes and this incredible singing all day. I don't need God in my life to enjoy it. Be well
Take it to the Lord in prayer...Cuéntaselo a Dios en oración...Thank you boys for upholding Jesus at the centre of our chores!
Youre heroes
God bless my polynesian brothers
God is with you
AMEN GOD BLESS YALL
Come to Zion with the USOs. I love it🙌🏼🌺

Hi…..I have the lyrics, now I need the traditional tune to:
‘Fa’afetai i le Atua’ -- the version with the chorus ‘ia pepese ia pepese alleluia fa’aetai’
Can anyone help me please. i have one copy of a version I got yesterday from Australia, sadly it’s not the one. My phone number is 0272247149.If you can help I would be most grateful.
Thanks, and many blessings

Yes that’s what I thought, I can sing this without looking at the words, there’s 2 fati (versions) to this hymn. My mum used to sing the old version which was the hard one. May God test her soul , this reminds me of her and the other members of the family who have passed on.
