With the exception of a few who actually do have some amount of talent (Juice mainly, and I listen to a few songs Lil Baby is featured on) Mumble Rap can die a slow death. It is literally making a mockery of a genre people died for and I can only imagine they'd turn in their graves if they could hear it. IMO Lil Wayne has a big part of the blame for at least being the inspiration of mumble rap, his style definately is very close to mumble rap and he definately started the grilles and dreadlocks trend.
That's not to say he hasn't made bangers (although I've only listened to probably 3 or 4). The songs he did with Eminem & KSI, I'm a big fan of his song Mirror with Bruno Mars (and judging by the fact that it's still in his popular songs on Spotify I'd say so are many other people) and come to think of it I used to listen to his song with Jay Sean a lot back in the day. But when I think about it, I'd say it's at least concievable that he was one of the things that started mumble rap.
