This is obviously a great story. But, i feel that there were more 'we' statements than 'I' statements.

not clear from the answers what was his own contribution to all this. but, clearly demonstrates he was on top of things, like how decisions were made, what customers needed, how that could be translated into business results, etc. Also, very clear answers, concise, good story, great body language.

Just had a phone screener with Amazon today.
Interestingly enough, I didn’t actually prepare for it.
I felt confident, ALOT more than my interview I had with them last year.
I guess I have been slowly absorbing best practices from your content.
One thing that helped me was keeping a note-pad to write out my answer and structure it.
At the end of the interview, he asked if this is a role I am interested in. I guess because my background is more software/integration and the role was more hardware focused.
I mean I’m obviously over analyzing it, but if he knew I was a write-off he probably would have just dropped off asap. Who knows.
Regardless, through your constant stream of videos - I feel like slowly I am picking up more and more!
I have referred a few people to this channel, hoping viewership is growing!! This channel is HIGHLY UNDERRATED!

Glad that the notepad tip helped. It certainly can bring calm to the process.
When asking if you are interested, they want to see excitement and not just going through the motions. Think about it from a hiring company end: hiring is expensive and time consuming for some of your most expensive assets. They don't want the process to drag out for someone who isn't fully committed to making a move to the new company.
I really appreciate the referrals and kind words. Means a ton!

Love the video and learnt a lot, but aren't you being extra nice and accommodating to a senior level candidate compared to the more mid level candidates you generally interview?

You are absolutely correct that I was being a little nicer here. For the series of Exec led videos (have only done two to date) these are people with whom I have worked or worked directly for me and are currently in senior leadership roles, not actively looking for work. There's obviously a bit of reputation retention that has to be of consideration in this sort of case. If I had Jeff Bezos in, I would most definitely ask him a Customer Obsession question but you had better believe I would be a bit deferential to him. :)

He says yes that’s what exactly , once when the question asked “is it highlights” and second time it’s more than highlights .

This just shows that even the best practitioners can create situations in an interview where they aren't necessarily communicating with 100% effectiveness. Good catch!
