I'm on my husbands account but have to say as a American your voice is so incredible to listen to while explaining all of this. I thoroughly enjoyed this video and must say it's the best I've watched yet. I'm going on a 2 day in Nov for our anniversary so not enough days to try it all and we booked so close to sailing majority is booked. So pink agave is the first night and test kitchen is the second. I'm so excited 🙌🏼
This was incredibly thorough and well done! We are sailing in a couple months and this helped us plan out our dinners - and also made us hungry. Thanks so much for sharing!
Great review, really informative thank you. Can I ask, do all of the 'speciality' type restaurants such as wake, pink agave, extra virgin etc have a lunch/brunch menu or is it just wake and razzle dazzle?
Great video thanks. I also have a diary intolerance and found all venues to be very accommodating except for Extra Virgin. I do not know why that venue struggles to adapt the dishes when the other venues have no problem with it.
Thank you for all the details on dairy free and how Virgin should make accommodations the day before. I am vegan pescatarian, so I really appreciate your giving lots of comments about making things go smoother. Thanks for letting me know about the vegan pizza good focal point,.😊😊
Thank you! It was very informative! Exactly what i was looking for. How about the timing? I don’t understand how you choose the time and if it is limited. And when is the show (to make sure i won’t miss it)
Thank you so much! You can book times on Virgin's app when you're making a reservation Typically there's one at 6.30 and one at 10pm of memory recalls :) times do vary though :)
We did a short cruise from Melbourne to Hobart and back - only four nights but we managed to eat at The Test Kitchen, The Wake, Pink Agave and Gumbae - all very good with lovely food and service. The food on this ship is exceptional and there are so many choices and the best part is that the high-end restaurants are incuded in your fare. The only additional cost is for oysters and lobster at a couple of the restaurants. Couldn't be faulted.
I would recommend if you are able to bring flavor packs. You can get free fizzy water and add your water flavor packs to make your own soda. I only went on the cruise once but looking forward to another cruise with Virgin soon.
I can't help myself Did you take responsibility for special dietary requirements by informing prior to embarkation? At booking? Travel Agent? Sailor services? It doesn't sound like you did. Sorry but you have whined for a little too long about your special dairy free drama.
Hey there :) Yes we did, at booking with Virgin Voyages, again in email correspondence before the cruise and once onboard we went to each restaurant the day before in an attempt to pre-order to avoid any issues. Therefore, I wanted to highlight this as it was the only area we felt Virgin fell down :)
Me and my partner are also dairy intolerant. It is an intolerance, not an allergy. You just pick options that contain a small amount of dairy. You either pick dairy-free options or go vegan. I would not expect them to have a whole different menu to cater for an intolerance. Definitely a bit whiney.
Hey there - this was a gifted trip by Virgin and although we mostly enjoyed the food on offer, there's several points in the video, especially regarding Ieuan's Dairy intolerance where I'm highlighting areas that could be improved. I'm sorry to hear you don't trust my review but I'm sure there's other reviews you can look out for should you require them :)

Hey man, thanks so much for doing this.
My pleasure! Glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you so much!
With the exception of The Galley, only Razzle Dazzle and The Wake do Brunch
Great video thanks. I also have a diary intolerance and found all venues to be very accommodating except for Extra Virgin. I do not know why that venue struggles to adapt the dishes when the other venues have no problem with it.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Interesting you had a similar issue with Extra Virgin 🤔

Awesome video! Where were you docked when you were showing The Wake?
Thank you! We were docked in Kotor, Montenegro 🇲🇪
BRAVO!!!!! I’m cruising on this ship in 2025
Thank you so much! Hope you have a great time :)
Us too 😊
nice tour thanks.....sailing march 5...have a better idea of what I'll be eating....
Glad you enjoyed! Hope you have a great time 🚢
how does eating on the cruises work? I can’t see any prices…but take it that it’s not all inclusive….
Hey there - all the dining options are included in your fare! The only exception to this is 'Another Rose' and Afternoon Tea 🚢
How much was Another Rose as I couldn’t find it?

I'm diabetic, were there any diet sodas other than Diet Coke?
I think it was just diet coke and coke zero!
I would recommend if you are able to bring flavor packs. You can get free fizzy water and add your water flavor packs to make your own soda.
I only went on the cruise once but looking forward to another cruise with Virgin soon.
I take the lactose pills. Problem solved.
Hey there :) Sadly that doesn't help him!
I can't help myself

A little biased? Free cruise? media voyage? B.S.

Great video Matthew. Very thorough and extremely helpful as we sail this year on Resilient Lady and VV for the first time. 👍🛳👍
Thank you so much! You'll have a fabulous time 🚢❤️
