I clicked on the guide in order to find out how to win with the masochist to unlock the shield, and almost lost it when you began by saying the shield is the best weapon 😂😂
I gravitated to Scissors for my first Masochist run, because I narrate stories for each character that incorporate class/weapons and shop choices. It all has to flow into a story of victory, or I die. Masochist was always warned not to run with scissors...
Lol I just played along with this and got so strong I could just stand still and heal up the damage I took, only had to move for the two bosses at the end after about 20 seconds of straight tanking them was brilliant
I'm late but I agree with whoever wants ghost axe this and doctor are easiest runs thusfar. I already beat it I just here cuz I like listening to smart people.
I just so happened to get a Scythe in like, round 14 or something which trivialized the rest of the rounds. By the end of each round I was around +800% dmg and I didn't have to even run into any enemies. Got to round 27 and probably should have gotten higher but I got greedy and didn't invest much into armor before then because I had so much lifesteal (plus a chaingun that helped). Anyways, cheers! I got scythe and it was the perfect weapon for masochist the damage per hit kept stacking so much it got to the point where elites would die in less than 3 seconds after i was in positive damage
I failed with scissors and spikey shield multiple times.. so decided to try and remove the dmg deficit using ghost axe.. I was actually surprised at how well it worked.. I used 4 axes and then 2 flints for some free attack speed. ended wave 20 with +270 %Damage (base, didn't get to look at buffed during wave), 27 Armor, Dodge capped, 101 Attack speed, 13 Crit, 75 MaxHP, 42 Regen, 14 Life Steal, 131 Luck and 53 Harvesting.
I got my initial win with Masochist on Medical Guns, though it was way less effective than what you put together here. That build grabbed a Statue, too, and once it racked up enough ouch to go wild I just went center and let go of the controls. Statue’s downside didn’t hurt too much, since taking individual hits is not particularly problematic for Masochist in most stages. I should replay him now that I have full unlocks, though.
Medical gun is a cool idea - I have yet to find a great use for them, so I'm glad they worked for something :P Statue is cool, as you say you can often hold still on masochist anyways - definitely worth keeping in mind!
One thing i hate in your guides: When you pick items that you opened after competing the run with some character))) Like king with shield, like taking fairy with renegade. Which makes a very interesting request: a sequence of how to go through the game, which characters to play first, and so on. In other words, let's say i'm relatively new to the game, in which order I shall unlock items. So i have two main questions (which can be topics for a video) 1. If I watch your walkthrough but have no items unlocked, what shall I do? And for which characters it's crucial 2. In which way I shall open achievements (play characters, do some other things)

Wow, this is the next-in-line toon to clear a D5 (seeing as im following your Tier List) & the change in how you play it, totally different! At first i thought id clear it first attempt, but as the waves increased it became clearer how different this character is! EDIT 1: Argh, i hate this character!!! EDIT 2: Cleared the D5, but without killing a single Elite :(. Next toon is "OLD" by the looks of it :/
@@Cephalopocalypse Nah, I have no intention of clearing danger 5 with everybody. Too many unpleasant characters I just don't want to play with ever again.
@@Erlewynthat's fine, but the main reason to do it is to learn how to make fun and different builds that can win. You don't have to do D5, but D3 is fun and challenging

I go the other way around and start with Ghost Axe. Every 5% damage you get is less hits you need to take, so every 5% is basically a Tardigrade.
Also a good call! The minus armor might be hard to deal with later on though, so that's probably for advanced players only :)

Spiky shield - if you get wisdom or blood donation/bloody hand -- you become strong so fast

I use ghost weapons, and also managed to get a blood donation and the scythe which got a little ridiculous in later stages.

When i did it i just got over 100 damage so i start out with normal attack at the start

I won, but I pressed endless mode and now I can't die. I am currently on Wave 27. HELP! 😅😂 never mind. Wave 28 took care of it.

Masochist is weird, it needs such a different playstyle. Hopefully this guide helps if you decide to give it another go! :D
