Just a comment for Andre Antunes: I woulda included Van Halen's solo on Michael Jackson's "Beat It". Incredible solo with right hand slide, right hand harmonic! Quite complex! Nuno's tapping is also incredible; especially He-man Woman Hater. Congrats
Tapping to me is overrated. If it is so hard then why are so many guitarists doing this stuff especially in the 80s? The hair bands were just about all doing this stuff from the national touring maga hair bands to the local cover bands playing the 80s hair bands stuff back in the 80s and early 90s. It was originally cool but got stale with the oversaturation of tapping. Just using this tapping from time to time instead of all of the time is better. But for me the traditional blues guitar stuff is more pleasant to listen to than tapping and when I hear the slide in guitar music like George Therogood used and this current blues artist, Samantha Fish uses the slide from time to time I just love this stuff much better than tapping. Old school blues playing is and always will be the best and I like this playing better in rock and metal as well. This stuff just touches the soul much more than other guitar styles.
You're amazing!!! Great job e keep rocking! How about make some tutorial videos teaching how to record different kind of sounds, a making of...? It will be cool!
You play incredibly! I was waiting for some Steve Hackett. "He became one of the first guitarists to experiment with the tapping technique normally attributed to Eddie Van Halen. (Hackett has often claimed Eddie Van Halen told him that he learned the technique after attending a Genesis concert in the mid-1970s.)" Such as Musical Box (Genesis - 1971). Really enjoy your playing. Thank you.
Nice solos Andre, great work. I think you should add something from Kiko Loureiro like "Tapping into my Dark Tranquility" .Also Michael Romeo with Symphony X "Sea of Lies"
Loooove your videos! Have you heard Victor Wooten’s classical thump prelude in E minor? (Best version is on his album A Show Of Hands. It’s on TH-cam titled classical thump.)
Satch boogie, one, hot for teacher and erupion are the coolest ones(for me). i don't know why but he man tapping doesn't even surprises me althrough is hard as fuck to play
I absolutely love the the one tapping solo people like to hate on Kirk that solo proves before he had arthritis he was a great shredder who just need to cut down on the wah pedal
Wow, fantastic solos, I became your fan hehe!!!, Do you know the bands Divine fire, Narnia, Oficina g3, Metal Nobre, White cross, Metal nobre??? These bands, they have great, cool solos to do.
Joe Satriani is super creative.. After Eruption.. What the heaven ??? Pretty annoying but Eruption is super legend. Giant robot attack is the suitable title for brother Steve vai solo to me. I love the tapping. FOTWB is sooo good.
Damn man, super inspiring! Wish I could tap half this good.
