in my FLYSKY FS-i6x I have Version 1.3.0 of openi6x dtd 01_22_2022, EEPR: 219. How do I upgrade to latest version (V= 1.4. ) without loosing my Flight MODELS? Can I save MODELS and upload them after V 1.4. is installed ? Is there procedure Video of how to do it without loosing any old Model data ?
If the eeprom data between firmware version is same then updating doesn't delete existing data. Model back up and restore is currently removed due to some issue but I'll be available soon. Simply put Radio in dfu mode and update firmware using cube programmer.
@@Mike4friends From what I read down bello - 9 months ago: currently restoring eeprom data between different firmware version is not supported. Soon - meaning ?? I can (and many of us using this older software) not manually transfer 18 Models to new firmware!! (and many of us using this older software)... Please have this on some priority list to be done ASAP.
Does this approach work on the latest version openi6x 1.2.0? I have been trying with no success to restore my setting from older version 1.1.1 to 1.2.0.

Hi, if you're interested in er9x for fsi6x then there is erfly6 firmware which is exactly like er9x customised for fsi6x and fsi6 radio. Erfly6 has support for afhds protocol i think. Try it github.com/aerror2/erfly6/releases Open tx firmware is specifically for fsi6x only you can try that too github.com/OpenI6X/opentx/releases/
Hi, I follow the steps but when I delete the station the eprom file and get to the backup I have in the computer when I turn it on I get a message that says eprom error and have to give a key, it is formatted and returns to values of fabric. In other cases when they admitted me to put in the model name character set escritos.¿ bad any suggestions? Thank you
@@RakishRc When I pass it to the computer and pass it back to the station, most of the time it gives me corrupt or very bad parameters when it does not ask me to format by eprom error. Before I had opentx 1.4.0 now I tried opentx 1.5.0. What I see differently from my radio setup is that mine has 1/5 and yours has 1/8 menu windows. Thank you

@@RakishRc I updated it from the stm st-link utility with the .Bin from the web, I don't remember if I had 1.4.0 on before, but the update was done from the program with the USB st-link V2

Yes you can. Simply edit the channel source in mixer page and set it to whichever aux switch you want. 👍

You mean radio eprom data is corrupted? Which firmware build are you using? Regular open tx firmware file right?

I cannot copy my back up from 1.6 to 1.9
Because eeprom data version is different from 1.8.0 onwards.
