    The most emotional storyline ever. After thirty years this feels as raw as ever. Somehow when this aired I missed it. Seeing it now I'm totally numb.

    Very moving scenes. I like that the actors were so willing to show their emotions. And how strong of Alan to tell Monica to support Rick (I'm glad the show didn't use that as a reason for another Rick/Monica reunion). Chris Robinson does a really good job in the scene w/Mikey, where you can see just how far away Rick is mentally. And Rose just breaks my heart here. In so many episodes around this time she seems like one of the main heartbeats of the show.

    I'm glad Robert Scorpio did all he could to find Luke, & Laura, and get them back to Port Charles. Too bad he wasn't successful. Thank God Rick was able to tell Laura later, and Thank God Laura had Luke to comfort her. Too bad, Jeff, couldn't be there for the funeral, and support his brother.

    Oh my goodness gracious this episode of General Hospital is probably the most saddest one I have ever seen. It brought tears to my eyes. I haven't seen this episode in a while......I don't know how Brock could do that to the sweet loving Lesley... I don't know why they let Lesley's character die. She was a great addition to the show. A loving, warm, compassionate lady with a heart as the great outdoors.

    The great thing about these scenes is how all the vets are utilized: John Beradino (Steve), Rachel Ames (Audrey), Frank Maxwell (Dan), Norma Connelly (Ruby), Susan Brown (Gail), Bob Hastings (Bert).

      They don't do that anymore .the current cast of GH today with the exception of a few...are low rent bottom of the barrel plastic Netflix actors !

    As much as I sometimes hear about Monty being spiteful, and as much as I think killing Lesley was a foolish idea, I'm glad that they at least had these moments to show just how loved Lesley was and how much she meant to the people of PC. Today on a soap, people would be sad for half an episode and then it would never be mentioned again.
    Poor Amy...
    The Webbers faced so much loss around this time.

    Okay, I feel compelled to say: "Lesley is NOT dead! I just saw her on GH not two weeks ago! She married Scotty and Laura!" Okay I feel better now, this stuff is just real hard to watch, even after all these years.

    Whats this about Monty being spiteful? do tell please

    • @travisjames3517
      @travisjames3517 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Brian Brady Yes, Monty did this because Alexander wanted some time off and because it was Alexander that convinced Francis to leave the show for her mental and physical health. If you’ll notice, Alexander is not in ANY scene RE: Lesley’s death. Rumor has it that she was actually banned from the set when she was fired.

      Gloria Monty was damn cold blooded when she fired Denise Alexander.

    • @jaredjlinden
      @jaredjlinden 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Denise Alexander asked to go on the back burner for a while after working in the industry for nearly 20 years. She wanted to work fewer days for a bit to focus on her personal life. Gloria Monty then killed off her character, presumably to send a message to her colleagues to not make special requests.

    I'm confused... if Lesley "died" here & there was a body shown etc., how the heck did they explain later on that she didn't really die? You'd think hospital personnel, the police, etc. would be able to tell if it was really Lesley or not. Anyone?

      +Edster73 Edster, it is a soap opera. lol

      Edster73 Helena caused the crash had her abducted let everyone believe she was dead (body double or some shady crap that she also pulled with Jake Webber) the trauma left her catatonic, Stefan eventually took over her care and returned her to Laura where she reunited with Rick before his death.

    • @travisjames3517
      @travisjames3517 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@herdmentality1894 Helena did this because she warned Laura that if she ever went back to PC she’s get revenge. Laura did and Helena staged the car crash and had Lesley injected with a drug that made her appear deceased. She was held captive from 1984-1997, though her spirit was seen in 1996.

    I would have kept Lesley dead. First of all, Lesley returned as a ghost in '96, then returned alive in '97. She really never did anything after her return barring a cameo here and there. There was no point in her returning alive permanently.

    • @traceydobesh5446
      @traceydobesh5446 ปีที่แล้ว

      Except to all of us who grew up watching and loving her! Any Lesley returns after 1984 were pure "gifts" and greatly appreciated by those of us who love Denise Alexander

    • @travisjames3517
      @travisjames3517 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@traceydobesh5446 I agree, but the return of Lesley went nowhere. She was supposed to return in 1993, but things prevented it. Sad Lesley never got to have a return scene with Tom Hardy.

    I get that Blackie and Amy are still young adults, but they keep referring to "the kids" like they are all little. Ruby has to "help" with them? Mike, yes, but the others? Just nitpicking. The rest was great. Alan especially breaks my heart because of his support of Monica helping Rick. He always loved her more than she gave back. Poor Alan, he deserved more love than he ever got.
