I lived in Hawaii for 7 years and I dont think I heard any of these songs even once, mostly just island pop/reggae (which I loved) but I had no idea stuff like this came out of the islands It has the same energy as a lot of the Japanese fusion jazz ive heard from the same era
Where have you been all my life? As a local boy who grew up in the 70's & 80's (who now lives in New Hampshire) this is the soundtrack of my childhood. Amazing! THANK YOU!

The little blue 45 that could at 40:00 is an absolute rocket. I've enhance enhanced like a tech wizard from a 90s action movie, but the most I can get is 'Waimano Records' and 'In Your Dark Eyes'. An internet search reveals nothing. How is this track not well known? So good. Thanks for brightening my day, Mr Bong.
