It's basically a "trend" back in those days... and they also got inspired by that. That's why. And another reason is that Thailand at the time always made them self looked like a western nation among South East Asian with those fancy stuffs, like, western style marching song, uniform, laws, social, marching style... etc

I really want them to bring back western-inspired style of composing. We started to created our own style of military marches/music since 1960-70s and its turns out a bit wierd nowadays. One of my acquaintance is in the army and he said they sounds like a school's sports day event music.
