Hey Tommy , Congrats on the car !
Here in the states I wouldn’t go to far as of tuning , They have the same shit Pistons and Rods as the F10 , more traction more sauce please , I see shops on Instagram fixing blown M5s and M8s and forging them ,I wish BMW would install Forged Rods and Pistons like other manufacturers do , I’m sure you probably know this already

You are correct rods are not the strongest, thats why its important to find safe limits and not just the limits. For F10 its been found and safe tunes can be provided whilst still fast. Aim to be the fastest and makes sense to build the engine first. On this car that is not the plan. Finding extra power whilst still remaining with in tolerance of rods strength is the goal.
