Bacacay Albay town proper

Bacacay is a small, laid-back town located in the province of Albay, Philippines. It is known for its pristine beaches, crystal clear waters, and breathtaking views of the Mayon Volcano.
Bacacay, Albay Brief History and Profile In 1660, the town of Bacacay was made of a parish with Rt. Rose of Lima as its titular patroness. In the same year, the first Franciscan missionaries who evangelized the province built the Bacacay parish church.
The strips from the long leaves of the plant is dried, flattened, and dyed before being woven into mats, hats, fans, and bags. The woven products is one of the main products of the coastal town of Bacacay. This is celebrated in August.
