Greetings. Go to the channel's playlist. This video is one in a series about the subject. Also, the course of Geography has elements of climate in it. ✌
It's great to see that more and more people are taking action to address climate change, but it's true that we need global cooperation to truly make a difference. This Crash Course Climate and Energy episode provides a comprehensive overview of the various global organizations and policies related to climate change, from the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) to the Kyoto Protocol and the Paris Agreement. It's important to understand the successes and failures of past policies in order to improve future efforts. For example, the Montreal Protocol and the Kigali Amendment have been effective in reducing ozone-depleting substances, showing that international cooperation can lead to positive change. Let's hope that continued efforts and collaborations can help us tackle one of the biggest challenges of our time.
Bro I'm a user of yours I have seen many videos on TH-cam but nothing is as good as yours love the way you explain it encourage you in every way possible just wondering how are you so good at this some of your videos and eleven or twelve years old still getting views ......
Getting entire nations (or rather their governments) to agree that the sun is shining is nearly impossible. Getting rich nations to stop dumping all their consequences on poorer nations, with no way to actually enforce that? Or - putting it in a different way - asking nations with lots of power/money/influence to willing reduce what they already have. Unfortunately, that's always going to get a lot of push back, and for most of those countries that are wealthy, there's a huge drive to get more, not stand pat with what they have now. It's not good policy, for humans or for the planet, but it's what comes naturally to the current forms of governance and power structures. As you pointed out, the UN and the way it handles policy is a very young form of governance. They're doing their best - making more room at the table, and trying to keep the Big Boys from bullying the new kids. That past history of colonial thought - "we know better than you because we are (insert reason here)" - that's the biggest reason nations don't want to work together. You can show it as friends at dinner agreeing on phone use, but let's be real, MOST nations on this earth are not friends with each other, because the very concept of nationalism wants to make each nation "better than" its neighbor, and we still haven't navigated our way to a more mature stance on that. (Not least because the biggest meanest bullies on the playground still haven't learned their lesson.)
Thank you very much M and CrashCourse for another fantastic episode! Loved the acronyms (dare I say initialisms, lol). Let me preface this by saying that I am in total support for addressing climate change and all the progress made in dealing with climate change through international fora. But if the last few years were an example, we haven't made a lot of progress. The last two COPs, imo, were failures. We made so much grandiose statements and promises but we can't deliver on them. And it's the smallest countries like mine that suffer the greatest consequences (social, economic, physical etc) yet we still have to do everything that other larger countries do and they don't care about the little man. Do you know how many climate refugees there are today in our world? IEP (an Australian think tank) is predicting 1.2 billion by 2050. It was already over 84 million in 2021. We need to stop talking as much and start doing. But in November, we'll make some more fancy speeches at the next COP and go back to life as normal until the next one, or until a larger, wealthier country gets affected by a climate change event such as a strong hurricane or something. Smh. But really loved the episode.
Great video! When is your episode on the single biggest polluter, the American Armed Forces? It seems strange to omit something like that from a series on climate change.
Most countries can’t cooperate well like how Indonesia’s slash and burn agriculture for palm oil effected neighboring countries and causing feuds between them. Let’s not forget the lobbying of special interest groups from fossil fuel companies like exxon mobile
Hi! I tried to support you with 10£ with the help of the '' thanks'' button but unfortunately, I cannot complete the purchase because the page is not loading.
If all the money spent on climate change (that produced no improvement) could be spend on mental healthy, we would all be better off. Conservation, Preservation, Mitigation is the way to go.
This video is useful for me because I am a student of environmental science. Please make more videos on this topic. Very informative video.

The writing on this episode is much better than the others.
Thank you so much for helping us stay informed!
My brain has the ability to rewire itself based on new experiences. Good job! Very informative!

It is ❤ useful for my field of study🎉
So much to work on.
What caused the ice age to end?
Start with megacorporations and maybe Taylor Swift flying less.
2:31 Olof Palme and Indira Gandhi.
I love the Ginyu poses lol.
I love this series of videos! Very honest and thought provoking. Thank you!

They don't.
The End

more taxes, less freedom seems to be the only viable option to save us from ourselves
China is working really well to save the climate
After the greeting, I would like to ask you how to estimate the water consumption of a plant, wherever it is planted. Thank you
Short answer: they don't really
Hej hej!
If all the money spent on climate change (that produced no improvement) could be spend on mental healthy, we would all be better off. Conservation, Preservation, Mitigation is the way to go.
Be a good example and talk to China, lol
They don’t
