JAYKEEOUT : Talking to Foreigners in Korea in Korean (Are foreigners in Korea good at Korean?!)
There were a lot of comments recommending me to do another 'Talking to Koreans in English'
But, I didn't want to do the exact same topic, so I reversed the whole concept.
Enjoy :)

dude why are people focusing on the fact the last girl can speak fluent Korean but aren't focusing that she's clearly a vampire, I mean come on! she said herself she's lived there for 100 years.
wow. yes you're right
CASSPurr Waspurr 😂😂😂
and looks so young too ! Lmao !
CASSPurr Waspurr 100y😂
Lol te la mamaste
the kid is so cute when she get angry with her brother... :)
Nur sharifah awww you're profile pic is so cute~
Moonlight Shadow hahaha thanks...
The girl in the end was born and raised in Korea. She's Korean. She is NOT a foreigner. She because she is not ethnically Korean, doesn't mean she is not Korean at all. She isn't different than any other Korean child besides her race. So TBH can y'all stop with the "wow a foreigner speaking Perf Korean! Wow that foreigner girl inspires me to learn!" Inspiration is cool and all, but how does a kid speaking their native tongue inspire you to learn it haha
Ikr
+Juan Cruz she is korean. She classifies as a korean because she was born in Korea. Doesnt matter what colour or ethincity she is, she's a korean citizen by birth.
+Juan Cruz Just because she is black doesn't t mean she's African. You need to shut up because you're sounding dumb as hell. You do realize that Korean is also a nationality? She was born in Korea hence she is Korean. Dumbass
+Juan Cruz hey so saying someone is Korean (or German, Mexican, Indian, etc.) has nothing to do with skin color haha. I know it could've sounded weird or confusing hearing that the girl is Korean but that's referring to their nationality (country of citizenship). The girl was born in Korea so therefore is Korean but not of Korean descent. She would be considered African-Korean, the African part describing what 'type' (can't find a better word) of Korean she is. Like for me, I'm American but I'm not white. I'm of Korean ancestry but I was born in the states so therefore my nationality is American while my ethnicity (ancestry) is Korean = Korean-American. Hope this helped :]
If her parents are African-Americans and she was born in Korea, she would be Korean-American, but her race would be black. But if her parents are African born, she would be Korean-Senegalese. There are also Asians who have African ancestry she doesn't necessarily need to come from a clan. I do get the gist of what your saying her situation is a bit complex.
I find it absolutely amazing when non-Asian children speak fluent Korean (or any race and language mixture). However, it's particularly interesting to me when foreigners go to Korea for like teaching, and end up raising their children there. Goals, honestly.
kid girl in the end speaks really good korean lol
+myname youwannaknow she's basically native! She sounds sooo Korean :)
+Thisisnot Gurke she should sound soooo korean if she was born there lol
I know :) That's exactly what I meant! It's pretty much like her native tongue and she just comes across as very Korean to me. :)
Thisisnot Gurke okay :)
The little kids at the and where so cute. I'm learning Korean too because I'm going on a vacation next year
welcome
I'm learning to audition for YG yeah 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👍🏽👍🏽

+KpopRookieJeslynR thanks you too!!!
+(케이재) K.j.Wright thank you :)
This REALLY motivates me to learn more Korean. I plan on traveling (and maybe even living) in Korea. I don't want to be the foreigner who knows nothing and expects a whole country to cater to me. People say it's a difficult language to learn but I think it's worth it. I think it sounds so beautiful when spoken and the words are so unique. I particularly love the inclusion of words of respect. In English, there is one way to talk to everyone. So I think showing respect to your elders and people above you is really awesome. It just shows how much respect is in the culture. I hope to learn a lot in the next two years so I can have a full filling trip and not be confused and annoying to the natives!
I've been learning for like 7 months now and I'm having a blast. It's absolutely difficult at times but totally worth the effort and studying haha good luck! 화이팅 💪🏽📚
it's not hard at all... i mean i learn how to read and write in one day 😂
+Pink Suho that's always the easy part lol
+LetsTalkKorean yessss
I feel the exact same way, but I'm not sure where to start when learning Korean, so I'm taking it slow with Hangul and trying to pick up the language from various platforms of entertainment and such.
I loved the ending with the children! Ugh, so cute.
I admit it :D

aw that girl who said she's been in korea for 100 years😂 so cute
I'm sure half of the foreigners travelling to Korea is either interested in KPOP or the actors/actresses hence most would probably speak or understand a bit Korean. Like the basic phrases 😊
I have had some friends visit Korea and they were like speechless when natives talked to them. lol I am staying in Korea for almost 3 years
+Maffi Contreras well prolly they are eithet overwhelmed or scared that they might pronounce the word wrong. To me the most important probably is to learn where hwajangshil is located hahaha....
+Maffi Contreras they spoke mostly basic stuff in this video and quiet easy to understand if you have watched tons of kdrama....😂
+Maffi Contreras they spoke mostly basic stuff in this video and quiet easy to understand if you have watched tons of kdrama....😂

I'm learning Korean by myself and I'm kind of a slow learner.. seeing people speak it fluently as a second language makes me feel a bit low tbh. any suggestions for self motivation?
Never give up. If it's something you really want, keep going for it. I'm self teaching myself Japanese. I am currently using Rosetta Stone and I love it. I'm a slow learner as well, so I know how you feel.
Listening to music and watching dramas and anime in the language helps me stay motivated. Especially when I recognize a word or phrase. That really makes me feel good like I've accomplished something.
I really admire people who can speak more than one language and because I want to be able to do that I think that helps me the most.
One trick that works for me is, I will write down a bunch of phrases and keep that in my pocket. And whenever I get a chance throughout the day, I'll pull it out and pick one. And then I put it away and try to memorize it. Saying it over and over.
Hope this helps! Good Luck
and don't give up!
Bubbles i heard that there'a site named letslearnkorean at it's quite ok for learning korean.
+Stephy Unger Thank you so much. Your advices helped a lot.. I'll make sure to keep all of that in mind. You're so kind!
+박주연 Thank you! I'll check it out!
Don't give up! I speak 2 languages but one of them I'm not so good at but I'm trying to improve it and learn Korean as well. It gets pretty tough learning but don't stress too much on how fast you learn take your time and you'll be sure to get it :) FIGHTING !
that ending was precious!!! so cute ~
Omg the ending was so cute.. With the two kids.. Awwww
3:23 what a sweet lady! saying princess with konglish accent so she can get ot better awwww
What I find so interesting is that even if you only know two words of a language, through actions and gestures you are for the most part still able to communicate with others.
the little girl at the end was so cute ❤
The last one childrens very cute 😂😂
the little girl at the end is soo cutee
oh my god the black kids are so cute. 😍 i died when the girl was complaining about her oppa eating her food hahaha
That little girl was soo cute omg
The little girl at the end sound so sweet, when talking to her bro... I'm learning Korean as well
The 2 siblings at the end sooooo cute 😍 and speak good korean 👌🏼
I'm impressed with that foreign girl wow :D !! It's nice to see some foreigners be able to speak Korean
+ᑭɛɬıɬє ᴹᴬᴷᴺᴬᴱ she was born in korea so she's korean
+iRockYouRock67 it depends on her parents too she did say they were foreigners who came to Korea so they could've learned Korean and came to Korea and started a family there
ᑭɛɬıɬє ᴹᴬᴷᴺᴬᴱ yeah my apologies i just read that south korea doesn't have ius solis
Well.... She is Korean.... She was born in Korea.... She isn't a foreigner if that's her country. Also, since her parents do missionary work in Korea, I'm pretty sure she's been living there for at least a majority of her life (if not all).
+seulgi bear I get that but I mean ethnicity wise. I was born in a foreign country too than where my ancestors normally are from but I don't consider myself half [of the country] ethnically but only in nationality. Idk if that makes a difference but that's my perspective
마지막에 아가들 너무 귀엽고 이런 영상 너무 좋습니다ㅠ♥
그니까요 ㅜㅜㅋㅋ 넘 귀여워 내가 목지 말라구 했자낰ㅋ
Those black little children speaking in Korean are lovely. Am I the only one who loves globalization?
No you're not I love mixed babies. I love culture. I love the fact that there is a difference. And yet. We're all the same. *mindblowing*
I love that you found a good amount that do speak Korean!
That little girl at the end makes my heart melt, she's so cute!!
responding as just "i dont speak korean" is rude, i guess?
I don't think it's rude. It's just kind of like saying like I'm sorry, I don't understand what you're saying. That's how I see it, but I would understand why you're saying that😃
I think its rude
+Señorita Jung Ahn Lee what do you want them t do? say 'wait a second' and google translate it?
little peach
"sorry" at least
the lil kids at the end so cute 😂💖💖
This video just kills me. I'm so embarrassed for most of these people! If you're in a foreign country, at least try to learn how to say "sorry I don't know korean" in that language XD
if u dont speak there language, why the fk would u say that in their language. that makes no sense
At least learn how to say it so they understand you won't be able to communicate with them. If you think, it makes sense.
Lmao most people understand "I don't know" just putting that out there xD
But they don’t know Korean 😕?
Certified _weirdo learning atleast one sentence in that language is what this person means. You dont have to know the whole language
That girl is so cute! She lived in Korea for 100 years😂 I just love listening to Koreans speak in Korean. Maybe it's their accents😂Is it weird? Am I the only one who thinks so? Koreans make me want to learn to talk Korean. I pick up some phrases from kdramas & kpop😂😂
Syazwyna Me toooo, I love how korean language sounds! Im planning on learning korean after my exams
omg the kids at the end are so cute
The two kids at the end were so cute haha
the little girl at the end was so cute. I was laughing so hard at the end though "you're giving me a headache! I told you not to eat it!"

omg the siblings were so cute looool
The last two kids were so adorable!!! This video was great 👍

chubby = man thing showing through his pants.
Uatemydoodle hahaha that must've been awkward, I'm not sure if she knew she said that (I can't remember if it was a boy or girl)
LMAO
Jill Phill is right. Chubbies are a brand of shorts that are usually colorful and you see a lot of white frat boys wearing them.
I've been walking around Seoul hoping to be in one of these videos HAHAHHA.
me too lol
Aww the siblings towards the end were so cute
the kids at the end were cute
I'm dying of the sister's and her brother's cuteness
love your style and concept for this channel
I agree that if you go to another country you should at least try to learn to speak and understand some of the language, but if there are any American commenters on here you will know that there are many people who come here that don't speak English. Some try to learn but there are others who immerse themselves in their communities that their homeland language is spoken and don't bother to learn English. People from other countries love to criticize English speakers like they are the only ones who don't bother to learn their host country's language, they are not.
To a certain point, I agree. It honestly makes sense that one would learn the language of any country they go to. But I think the difference between those coming to America vs. those going to Korea is that English is not the official language. Yes, you often need it to function unless you're in a community that strictly speaks another language, but it's still somewhat of an American 'pride' to be so diverse, both in culture in language. Those who go to Korea are going to a country that is 97% Korean, almost entirely homogenous, and certainly entirely Korean-speaking. No 'melting-pot' expectations there. So it always seems a bit more odd to me that people especially wouldn't try to learn the language of a far more homogenous country, as opposed to learning English upon coming here. Not saying they shouldn't, just that the expectation isn't quite as high (or shouldn't be quite as high, I suppose).
+flowerboysandramyun rather than melting pot, i think salad bowl is better nowadays. My immigrant grandparents were expected to assimilate, but my immigrant friends have the freedom to celebrate and honor their home countries.
But moving on...learning the language is important to any immigrant. We don't have an official language BECAUSE we welcome immigrants (some Americans less than others, unfortunately), but give me your hungry, etc, etc. However, according to a 2009 census survey, 80% of homes use English as their primary, and so they should. It's too expensive to run a country in multiple languages. We already do, to various degrees, to help immigrants acclimate, so I think not expecting immigrants to at least attempt to learn the language is not practical. However, if it's difficult for the immigrant generation, their children should pick it up, which is fairly normal and acceptable.
I dont really think that was the point of this video. It was just a reverse social experiment showing what its really like. Some people do speak the language and some dont.
How adorable this two cute kids in the end of the video
I love how diverse our world is becoming!!
"오빠!먹으면 안된다고 했잖아! 아이고..." 너무 귀엽다 ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
the little girl is so cuteeee
The girl at the end was the cutest thing ever!
That little girl at the end is so cute!
The two siblings at the end were too cute
Loved the video! :)
PS: we don't even know whether some of these people live in korea or just visit some relatives etc.
I can't understand people complaining about them for not speaking/understanding korean 🤔
Those kids motivated me to study 한국어 harder
that ending was terribly cute
the little girl and her brother at the end were adorable. the video was already good, but their appearance made it 100x better!
i loved the kids at the end! awesome!
Allie C You too..

omg this is the cutest thing I have seen in a looooong while! I think Koreans (myself included) automatically talk to foreign-looking people in English in Korea. This video reminds me that hey, they may actually be pretty good at understanding Korean!
Hahaha the end was funny the little girl was so cute.
black kids speaking fluent korean...... mind blown holy efffffffffffff
It's different when you're born there, you're surrounded by the culture/language and grow up learning it as a primary, and since they're young, they soak up knowledge like a sponge to water. And by a technicality, that kid is not a foreigner.
Not really, I know a couple of kids that have lived in Korea and were born here, they can't speak Korean at all.
Edmund ya, real cute
she was born there tho
yesss!!! i love your videos so much!! your so bold! i love that alot of the foreigners knew abit of korean. i always find it respectful if you learn as much as you can about a language before you vist the country. also the little girl in the end was so adorable!! i wish that part of the video was longer lol
That black girl was so cute 😄 Btw loving your channel!
