We went there during our visit to Paris while it was playing there, even if we aren't speaking french fluently. Only saw it a few times in Berlin. But you dont need to understand every single word to understand the power of the composition and the play itself.
Well frankly, I don't speak French at all, but really even though the texts are different, the story is still the same, and the music is still beautiful. I enjoy this musical in every language. :)
The only bad version I know about is the Broadway Version. They changed too many things. Otherwise it would have been a big there I think. But as far as I know Michael Crawford was able to bring in some changes to the story and to the Count of Krolock . And what I could see here on youtube isn't very impressiv if you know the original play.
I luv Stephane's expressions on that song ^3^. Totally in love with that musical and I'm thinking about going to the Mogador Theatre specially to rewatch this :). Amazing voices, really beautiful clothing. It's easy to get enchanted.

Holy shit...he's a hell of a krolok. I love his subtile expression and his ironic smile. One of the best performances I've seen so far.
