Long ago the doctor suspected that I had a slight kidney problem and scheduled contrast dies. Luckily I read the pamphlet that said contrast dies could cause kidney failure. So I informed the nurse that no way would I sign the consent form to check for the possibility of a slight kidney problem and end up with a high probability of kidney failure. Many years have gone by and my kidney function is still OK.
My doctors prescribe sooooo many meds and when I have side effects, they want to prescribe MORE meds to treat the side effects... I said no. If they are adding a medication, they need to remove a medication. Not just add and add and add.
My kidney doctor says I drink to much water - 8 glasses worth. I enjoy my water. Not diabetic, 78 yr old female, and don't take those off drugs you spoke of. I haven't had to take antibiotics for yrs! So my question is why would my kidney specialist want me not to drink so much water???
It's important when one is on these medications you mentioned that regular lab testing be done. Renal panels and other specific tests. We expect that our PCM knows to order these tests but they sometimes fail to so. One has to manage the process at times. Good to question your MD about labs testing. If you have had some lab tests and you had results that lower or higher than thee desired range one needs to ask about why. It's a good idea to read everything you can about the medications you take and the known side effects. Lab tests may need to be done at least every 3 months for one taking several medications and your MD may not be doing this for you. Especially if your prior labs had problems (critical, low, high). Goal is to have normal labs or very close to normal as much as possible. Taking some supplements can be harmful too. Some supplements have additional additives and so it's important to know everything that is in the supplement. Read the label and perhaps take a photo of the labels and show them to your MD. Your blood Pressure machine may be giving you bad results and so take it to your MD appointment at least once or twice a year. Also replace your unit every year or so as needed. Make sure you are taking your blood pressure correctly - one way is when you bring your blood pressure machine to your doctor ask them to observe you taking your BP and to confirm you are doing it correctly (you may have it on too loose or tight or other error). Ask your MD if you should do 3 readings and also keep a log. If you are avoiding salt make sure you get some iodine in your diet. There are several sources for iodine and so you may be okay.
I had heart failure last year. Cardio blames it on hypertension and gave me diuretics to keep my lungs free from edema.Which keeps my lungs from restricted oxygen intake which strongly impacts energy production which would lead to heart failure. Problem is the diuretic makes the ecf (extracellular fluids) very acidic, which causes diuresis by forcing the body to urinate a lot in order to drain the lungs (as well as the rest of the body) to drain water. Note that the acidity makes me incontinent as my bladder has to rid the highly acidic urine even with the bladder not even half-full. The very fact my ecf has to be very acidic all the time would cause calcium to accumulate intracellularly is why this leads to chronic kidney disease long term. Internal calcification causes the kidney to develop fibrosis as an adaptation but the fibrosis would eventually manifest as a shrunk hard kidney as seen in an ultrasound. Which is why I have to find a real cure to my hypertension else I become a ckd statistic. Luckily I know enough than most docs schooled by the Flexner 😅Report-molded AMA.
Here is another thing that worries me. When I get my teeth X-rayed, the dental assistant puts this heavy lead filled vest over my upper body and then hides behind a wall to snap the pictures. Then when I ask if these X-rays are safe and she says that today''s dentists have really advanced in science more so than years ago when people got cancer from this.
My brother in law was bi-polar. He was taking prescribed lithium for many years, and even though he drank gallons of water he had to under go dialysis. He had to endure this until he died in a hospital due to asphyxiation. 😭
You mentioned Losartin being bad for the kidneys. Is Valsartin just as bad? Hubby is on Amlodopine and Valsartin for blood pressure. Recent near kidney failure due to enlarged prostate blockage. Had TURP surgery after kidney numbers improved tremendously. Hope these BP meds don’t cause kidney damage again.
And you can use a good salt. If you come on the ER with high bloodpressior, than you get a IV with natrium to lower the bloodpression. And if it is still to high afther one bag you get a second one. And each bag has 9 grams of natrium (salt.) If you have high bloodpressior, lower the carbs that you eat. Sinds i eat the carnivore way (very low carbs and high in good fat), i do not need insulin anymore, no high BP medication and i feel great. Seedoils are very bad, just as margarine and halvarine. So change your eating and see what it wil do for you.
My doctor prescribed lisinopril due to H.B.P., my potassium levels😮raised to 11+. It did effected my kidneys. So I fired my Primary Doctor bcuz he never told me about it side effects nor my blood cultures testing every 3 months.
I drink a lot of water every day, but My urine is not always clear yellow, mostly because I take one vitamin B (100 mg) a day. Should I stop using them?
I’ve got a double strike. Two decades of high dose ibuprofen and losartan has probably taken a toll. Dropped it way down and lost a lot of weight and cleaned up my diet and exercise every day for the last 3 years. However a persistent left scapula/rib pain that started in 2021 and the high stress of the last year has thrown me back on the meds no matter what alternatives I try. 😢 would be nice to have an md who would work with me instead of against me. My chiropractor dr is a nutritionist too but can’t afford too many visits since he doesn’t take Medicare. Just not sure what to do. Ice is my 4am companion every night and lots of bio freeze. The more sun the better as long as there isn’t awful heat with it.

Most important thing you said....be an informed consumer, not a passive patient. Excellent!! a I don't know too many people who do this.
Thank you doctor for this vital information.
Thanx doc ,keep on ,you rock!
Thanks, will do!
Grateful for this video, and even more grateful to have discovered (and now follow + subscribe) to your channel. Knowledge is power!

@@AdamJStoryDC Hi Doctor . I’m thinking high quality organic multivitamin. You think vitamins are okay for kidney health. Thank you 🙏

So glad!
Thank you for your honesty! I appreciate that your perspective is avoidance of pharmaceuticals!

Is manganase contrast a lot safer than galladium and iodine contrast dyes?

Thanks for information.😊

Ivermectin and fenbendazol no sugar no carbs.
Is the image hanging behind you located in Torrevieja, Alicante? Just curious, there is a sea walk almost identical if not identical.
Thanks Sir

Hey Doc, what are your thoughts on Lithium Orotate vs. prescribed Lithium?
Excellent ❤.
my doc said herbs and non pill methods are hocus pocus medicine. we agreed to part ways .

Where is the link for the water bottle?
What about ramipril and omeprazole doctor
Look online! Most meds for gut issues damage kidneys IF you take them a long time.

Doctors are not licensed to give Natural solutions only Natural paths or be your own health advocate ?
If you can do it yourself, why does one need a license to do it?
