That's completely up to your preference. I like to use colored clay because I don't have to deal with painting anymore. But if you paint the clay you can achieve a much more realistic look. And thank you very much!

Hmm. I can't really tell honestly because they are very similar. The rock Pikmin was a bit different because of its shape, but not hard to sculpt!

With translucent clay. After baking I used some gloss varnish on the wings, that made them look even more translucent 😄
