How the scenes were shot feel very intimate with the subject. Also it seems like Eva is trying to appear nurturing such as her interaction with the kitten. With the use of music it feels as if there's a certain bond we once had as we were born and nurtured by our mothers. Overall even short films like these Gasper Noe does well executing the shots.

exactly, When you read in a newspaper, or hear on the news, a person was raped / viciously attacked etc etc, more often than not, it flows over our heads, we don't truely understand what these words mean. For most of us, the only exposure to such brutality is through cinema, and this is often glossy or compromised in some way. That scene with Monica Belucci in Irreversible needs to exist to show what these dispicable acts are to a desensitised audience. Its reality is what people hate.
