It was on in parallel with Morning Show for a while. The best months of our lives. Then COVID restrictions got lifted, gigs returned to DJs lives and no more Morning Show. PTR has became out only weekly show from Rich to us. Then a year passed and Twitch played the "a-hole card" on the streamers and they started struggling. So, Rich moved his show from 6PM to 7PM (BST) and joined a stream train with two other streamers with the idea to have back to back shows Wednesday afternoon and send audience to each other. However, they are all producers and DJs and family men, so it was not always possible to have three of them B2B. So PTR randomly started at 6 and 7 for a while (Completely lost me on certain days) In the meantime Paula and Rich got married and had a baby. So Rich is changing nappies and running late for the shows. Meaning is: you tune in 6PM Wed as always then wait until 7:15 ish. If no show started then that week was skipped. If the show started... enjoy. Alternatively you check Solarstone's SoundCloud Thursday evening. If the new show is there - there was a show the previous day, otherwise, check back in 7 days.
"Purity" Turns out Tapio and I have the same taste of music (Vangelis, JMJ, Hip-house, Mayday, etc), we might be the same age. And I understand he uses these as inspiration for his tracks, most of the time sampling them or reconstructing them (Forward Ever Backward Never -> Forward Forever), and usually I like the result very much. But I can't take Kenji Kawaii's "Ghost City" (some resources refer to the "Making of a Cyborg" track) sample in Orkidea's track. It disturbs me. "Interstellar" The movie itself is a scam. It was copying Rendezvous With Rama, Time Masters, some mediocre crime novels... The music was a over-hyped reminiscence of Philip Glass's works. Still, mass audience loved it. So all the DJs jumped on it. From Oakenfold to Orkidea everyone remixed the movie score. IMO totally unnecessary. I prefer the orginal (by original I mean Glass, not Zimmer)
Orkidea keeps on delivering electronic music of the highest purity. Gorgeous...
