Ukraine lost the war two years ago. Every casualty and piece of destroyed infrastructure since Ukraine's failed counter offensive can be attributed to Ukrainian and western government leaders keeping the war going in a desperate attempt to "save face". Zelinsky is not in " I've got nothing to lose territory ". He knows that when the war ends, martial law ends, and Zelinsky flees Ukraine or is killed there.

That "referendum" was done long after many locals left the areas, and there was an influx of Russian personel. Do you think that imbalance might've tipped the scales a little bit. Also tis hard to vote against a regime when they're literally holdiing a gun to your head. That's generally how the Russians conduct their so called "referendums and elections". "Equal and fair?" elections in Russia usually don't have any opposition to the main candidate. Navalny comes to mind.

  • @EduardoArtistaDelavega
    @EduardoArtistaDelavega 20 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +29

Zelensky didn't try to prevent the conflict through diplomacy because he lacks honor and integrity.
In 2014 there was a coup. Soon after, there was a massacre in Odessa (dozens of people were burned alive). Ethnic Russians living in Ukraine were treated as subhuman. Their language and culture was being oppressed. A civil war broke out due to the rise in ethnic tensions. For 8 years the Ukrainian military was indiscriminately shelling civilians living in Donbas.
If Zelensky honored the Minsk agreement and pledged neutrality, none of this would have happened. The 8 year civil war would have ended and Donbas would have remained part of Ukraine. War is the ultimate failure of diplomacy.
Zelensky, Poroshenko, Merkel and Hollande admitted that Ukraine had no intention to honor the Minsk agreements.
Who didn't want peace? Who advised against the 2022 peace talks in April? Hint: someone visited Zelensky in Kiev at that time
Russia's national security was compromised once NATO began to expand eastwards. Russia clearly stated that Ukraine joining NATO was a red line (November 2021) and unfortunately this concern was never taken seriously. The Russians openly stated: if nothing changes, we will be forced to act in order to defend our national security. Enhancing the national security of one country at the expense of another is unacceptable. The Russians have legitimate security concerns.
20th September, 2021: Ukraine launched military drills with US and NATO
NATO is not a defensive alliance. NATO illegally bombed Yugoslavia (a direct violation of the U.N. Charter).
We should never forget what they did to Libya, Afghanistan, Iraq etc.
Who blew up the pipeline causing an environmental disaster?
Zelensky banned all opposition and arrested a leading priest.
Zelensky tried to invoke article 5 under false pretenses. Remember the incident in Poland.
Ethnic Russians living in Ukraine were treated as subhuman. Their language and culture was being oppressed.
Poroshenko said, “Our children will go to schools and kindergartens-theirs will hide in the basements”.
Russians will never forget the 2014 Odessa massacre. The whole world needs to know about it.
Why was Denis Kireev eliminated? He was a member of Ukraine's negotiating team during the peace negotiations. He wanted to help his country.
Ukraine has a hit list. They target artists, journalists and ordinary citizens. Hundreds of children are on this list. 13 year old Faina Savenkova was placed on this list.
Pink Floyd's Roger Waters is on this list. Jimmy Dore (American stand-up comedian, podcaster) and Aaron Maté (Canadian writer and journalist) are on this list.
There is evidence that Ukrainian troops have been indiscriminately shelling civilians in Donbas (they used petal mines and targeted areas where there was no military presence).
The azov troops trapped in the azovstal steelworks in Mariupol used human shields. They refused to allow civilians to leave despite of humanitarian corridors being present.
Russia held a proposed cease fire in order for the civilians to leave, but azov would not allow the civilians to leave.
Ukraine has committed many acts of terrorism (car bombs and other forms of assassination). Darya Dugina (journalist) R.I.P.
The first terrorist attack on the Kerch bridge killed the truck driver and the individuals in the adjacent car (innocent civilian victims).
The second terrorist attack on the Kerch bridge killed two parents and severely injured their young daughter.
I have done a lot of research and it took me a long time to write this comment. I have stated a lot of facts and I have given my honest opinion.
I have provided a brief summary of events that took place. In order to explain this whole situation in great detail, a book would need to be written.
Hopefully someone will write an UNBIASED book, stating facts and allowing the readers to form their own judgments. Everything I said can be fact checked and verified.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think that the solution doesn't have to be so complex. To me it seems like the best long lasting solution would be if Ukraine was to join BRICS. That way it will have its security if that's really the issue here, even though I think it's kind of exaggerated to epic proportions only because now Zelensky has one thing to hold onto to paint Russia as bad which is that incident in Crimea when in reality when you look at the bigger picture and think objectively you realize it was actually the issue over NATO, not the goal to harm Ukraine and why that happened in the first place. It was never quite about domination over Ukraine, but saving it from itself, but also protecting Russia at the same time. This is not the 60s and Putin is not trying to create a new Soviet union. In this case BRICS represents what any sane individual would want this world to look like, and how political relations should be if you again check what they stand for and don't fall victim to hate and prejudices. They don't relay on creating millitary tensions like NATO and we could really use less tensions and wars, and more compassion and understanding. They achieve all what NATO tries to achieve through military, through dialogue where words can too hold a lot of power, and I think everyone should strive for that not just BRICS and what's really good is that there's not one country there that gets all the credit and power and gets to shine like on this other side, NATO side, it is America. In BRICS they get equally aknowledged which in politics is crucial, so who could see that as bad anyway, only those who hate peace and unfortunately what America says always seem to go. Compared to NATO, I think BRICS does have more positive sides of we're to compare.
I see it as a potential alternative framework for Ukraine's international relations and after all the BRICS desire for a multipolar world is an honorable one, where no single nation or alliance dominates global affairs. BRICS emphasizes cooperation among emerging economies and promotes vision of global governance that is again more honorable than NATO or western dominated institutions aspirations. This is good for Ukraine that seeks diverse range of partnerships. It opens doors to economic partnerships and opportunities which could only enhance its security but in this case through interdependence. In this case what's even better for a country, its not depended on anyone when eventually it becomes strong through it's economic ties and nobody can hold anything over your head. That's true meaning of soverignty. Working for it on your own without having to depend on anyone not even America which is exactly what Russia has been avoiding and does good.
Also, if Ukraine was to join BRICS in reality Russia wouldn't have any concerns regarding NATO nor would there be concerns for Ukraine regarding Russia, there would be no need for those when in reality Russia's only concern is NATO which is an extended arm of the US. Who can say it's not a legitimate concern is delusional. Given the agreements not to expand one each east. Now that it did, okay, Russia still didn't react, but you push it and you poke it and now want to be on its border too. Not only did you play that countries trust and even used military force in Europe and bombarded Yugoslavia and showed Russia why exactly not to trust you, you also kept pushing all the way towards its borders and it's been patient. Like if you already played it's trust at least don't come at their borders. Don't taunt it when there are other ways for Ukraine to get what it wants if it truly wants peace which right now is the most important.
The crux issue here only and always has been aggression and that expansion of NATO and Russia watched that and now that NATO got what it wanted, expended, now it also seeks proximity to Russia's border, which is highly unfair. Other countries needs cannot be met at the expense of another countries concerns if the situation is complex and calls for more understanding. You simply need to be more realistic. Again, this is a deeply sensitive thing for Russia and rightfully so. NATO broke agreement not to expand eastward so it's a valid concern. It all started with NATO and it's a significant factor in Russia's actions in Ukraine. It's a breach of trust and therefore a direct threat to its national security. Even now it's clear when America alongside NATO is going through Ukraine to heal their frustrations with Russia. Collapse of Yugoslavia also did it's thing to disturb that trust.
Again, Ukraine's desire for security into European structure doesn't require it to join NATO. Alternative option such as BRICS which seems to be the best one, and then EU integration or non aligned status could provide similar benefits while addressing Russia's concerns.
Joining BRICS in this case could also reduce its reliance on Western institutions like NATO and foster a more multipolar world where BRICS would emphasize dialogue and cooperation and therefore Russia and Ukraine can engage constructively, and truly get at the deep core of the issue and understand each other on a deeper lvl. That way the importance of also considering Russia's perspective is aknowledged and historical context in which the conflict in Ukraine has unfolded. While Ukraine's desire for integration into European structures could be understood, it also must be balanced with Russia's concerns regarding NATO. That's all there is. Alternative approaches, non NATO options and focus on dialogue and only then can confidence building measures begin. The more prolonged it is the more prolonged unnecessary destruction, loss and agony.
