Saw this band in the 70s. I was into jazzrock, progrock, bluesrock and heavy metal at the time. Stunning band, less singing and chanting, more rock solos live. Why did they not become better known?
Saw Quintessence at the Albert Hall in April 1970 when they were support to Creedence Clearwater Revival. Quite a contrast and didn't appreciate them at the time. Since had this album for years though.

I was there i was only 15 but can,t recall seeing Quintessence
I just heard a tiny background clip on a program about Glastonbury. Liked it so I'm here to see what they're about.
