This why l don't agree with blaming parents. Peer influence is powerful these days and social media carries strong programming and messaging. Big track 👊👊👊
Shame so many of our black kings are not doing so well. They all turn to the roads, whilst other ethnic minorities seem to work much harder in school. I wish our black king dads would also stick around. All my friends dads are no where to be seen. I find myself and my other black brothers eating fried chicken and chips and leaving the bones and boxes on the seats. I wish I was raised better and stopped playing the race card all the time. One day it will be better I’m sure.
I dont care what anyone says this is UK rap classic. I'm 30 next week, Me and my friends from back home have used bashy quotes to greet each other for 15 years now.. From getting in trouble with the police as a kid, coming back from Afghanistan for the first time, my wedding and my mates meeting my kids for the first time......... " Demon!, demon wants to be man!" As trivial as that shit it is. It 's a good metaphor for how certain UK artists are in the background of so much of our lives. What a legend
That's it! First - "How Black Men Lose Their Smile", then "Blessed", and now this!! I'm officially a fan. From a breda to another.......sincerely........thank you. See you at the top.
4Real unfortunately I got caught up and spent a decade n a half sitting down. The bar about glad he never caught him though that's real shit. I know man that have been in HMP since they were teens. Now they been locked longer than they was alive before they got caged, 😢sad life. I'm blessed I got the chance to turn my life around, next year I've been out 10 years and i’ll be finishing my degree same year🙌🏾 Funny thing is I went back to the nerd, quiet book reading poetry guy I was before road took me. I stopped being scared and wanting to fit in and just became who I always was. You know before I put the bad man mask on. More youth need to embrace being themselves & forget the badness because they don't wanna be the guy/gyal buried alive in HMP or the reason ya parents cry cuz someone took you from the earth. Sorry for the rant have a blessed day/life ✌️🏾🫶🏾👊🏾
This tunes is so big even the video hit's home too i went primary school right there next to that Brunel estate he's on i would get home from school Hey Arnold n thats jus the start of the song so much relatable bars in this man that was the times wrapped up in 1 song. Big up Bashy💯🙏 My era
The story telling, the visuals. thsi is a masterpiece. Bashy is in his own lane with this album its not just a bunch of singles ... its an actual album. A real story.
There's something deep about the way this song hits my spirit and gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. I can fully relate without even being from London or knowing Ashley personally.
Crazy how strinkingly similar Bashy's 90s tv shows and playground games are - even down to the Wrighty reference - to a spoken word poem I started writing a couple weeks ago (finished the latter half of it yesterday). This spoke to a LOT of childhoods I'm sure! Great work from Bashy💯
Grand risings kings 🤴🏿 bashy my brother, iv grown with your music I'm 35, this album, especially this tune was so important, never stop being you BLACK MAN we need our warriors talking up the tings. Love ✊🏿

I love this and proud of Bashy and how he has navigated life. Your mom volume 1 chuppa chups mixtape, driving buses the acting everything. Bashy a legend and a positive role model.
It feels like Bashy is telling my story of me growing up. Both of my parents were around I was raised well, but when I was outside and you’re around different influences things change and at that time reputation matters it was easy to sucked in to negativity that looked cool. So when you see youngsters doing badness it’s not always the parents fault. It’s too easy to blame them.
Wow! One of the greatest to ever touch the mic. Just couple of weeks ago I had 4’oclock, random and kidulthood on replay for days! Thinking I wish Bashy would make a return and here he is! 💪🏿
KGB. Wow.. I was there in the 90s - very rough.. but beautiful too, like this song. Much much respect from someone who knows where you're coming from 🙏
Super talented guy. Good to have him back with his new flow. My partner and I recently watched 24 legacy. He played a very convincing role as an American gang leader, he absolutely killed it. Like I said, super talented. 🔥🔥🔥
This is a great example of what the ends can produce! Bashy BEEN ahead of his time, I’m just glad he was able to prosper and create a phenomenal career! I remember seeing the determination in his eyes when I used to jump on his bus. Proud of you King 🫡👊🏾
Crazy seeing Bashy’s story. I remember having the Chupa Chups mixtape on CD, I bumped it every day back then. And then he did the soundtrack to Adulthood (I think?). That The Streets remix he did, yeah glad to say I was an early fan and saw the talent since he was on LotM.
North West Worldwide! Chupa Chups mixtapes from Wembley market! Who remembers them days? Big batty girls from the ends every Sunday. Big up Bashy! Foundation music

Oiiii naaah this is hard! Visuals, wordplay and subject! More from Bashy in 2024!
Always had meaning behind his bars… takes me back to his classic “Black Boys”… imagine a feat. With ghetts 👀🔥🔥
He has a feature with ghetts called 'do it big'
