My friend killed a bird with it once, and it just fired regular airsoft bb's, not metal bb's or pellets. That little thing was crazy. I love spring airsoft pistols :)

Cheap spring pistols can still be fun to mess around with. The best cheap spring pistol you can buy is the cybergun Colt 25 ( modeled after the Colt 1908 vest pocket ) because it's pretty durable as it's made of some fairly thick abs , because you can get a 2 pack for 20$, mine always shot straight with minimal upward curve using.20's, and you can put it in your pocket.This is makes it a great last ditch for games, or just for keeping in your pocket to shoot your friends when they're not expecting it. Plus they're great for mini backyard scirmishes. 2 for 20$ is a good deal but it would be so cool if you can get a 4 pack in different colors for 30$, then you could buy 2 packs and have 4 teams of 2. You can get for of the crosman 1911 modeled pistols, but I love these because they have just enough sting with a long sleeve T shirt in to know you got shot.
If you get a decent metal spring pistol, they're a whole lot of fun, at least for me. I think manually racking the slide back for each shot has some kind of a nostalgic effect for me.
I used to love gas and co2 gas guns, then I got tired of buying gas and co2 and having to stop shooting to refill after 2-3 mags. That got old real quick lol. The slide action is unbeatable though, so fun to shoot.
I use a spring secondary with a gas primary. I prefer my pistol to be an afterthought and not have to worry about giving it gas. Springers are also generally more reliable- the only problem is you do have to replace the spring every few months or years depending on how much you use it
The spring guns are the most durable I was lubricating my old spring pistol with chainsaw oil ,putting it in dirt ,dust ,wetting it ,and it was still working... The co2 ,gas and electric ones are more fragil ,spring ones are like russian guns

Hold the gun side ways, keep your other hand on the slide. You can rapidly fire it if you time your slide pull and trigger pull correctly. This is good when you're in a tight situation, think of it as a fan fire. Except it isn't a cylinder and you just spam the crap out of it. Trust me, it works. (most of the time if your Springer's slide and plunger is tough enough.)
At a local airsoft field in the city I grew up in, they had these spring-loaded shotguns that were actually really nice. No clue what brand or model they were, but they were well-made, reliable, very durable, and accurate. Each time you used the pump action, it would cock the spring. You’d load these shotgun shell-looking magazines, and they’d hold 10 shots that were 3 BBs each. Do any of you know what gun this was? I always chose it when going there, and I did really well with it. Would be great to buy one for myself.
My first Springer was a TM 1911. I still have it :) non adjustable hop up set optimized for .25 gram bb. I’d still like to do a springer pistol CQB one day.
I like Airsoft but I think that if you are going to get a spring Airsoft gun instead of buying an expensive gas gun you can get metal springers and all the metal ones I have shoot accurate and over 300fps. What I will use in my games is my lancer tactical m4 aeg and a spring pistol that’s metal.

The Tokyo Marui High Grade spring pistol series is the one people should go for when considering buying spring pistols. They have some awesome gun models (Glock 17 Gen 2 standard and Long Slide version, USP, M1911A1, CZ 75, P228) and I swear they shoot more accurate and farther than my Cyma AEGs.They are good. I'm a proud owner of the CZ 75 First Model and soon, I'll get a Glock 17 Gen 2 as well.
I just ordered Tokyo Marui H&K Mark 23 HG Spring after almost 20 years of no airsoft. If I still enjoy the hobby I'd go straight to buy another TM springer preferably H&K P7M13 I'm not very fond of them not being authentically weighed though since these TM springers weighed less than half of the real thing but I'm just asking too much out of $40 plastic spring guns at this point.

When I was a nipper I swapped the out the spring in my BSA .22 for a stronger one , it was hard to cock , but it was powerful as . after a while I noticed I was hitting low , checked through the barrel and saw a half moon lol

spring was my first gun to see if i liked airsoft. I did and want to actually start playing games. So i started getting gas by making and saving money but no buying takis and literally any other thing i didn't need. But i know there are some people that just like shooting for fun in their backyard against like a target with their brothers or something. In that case save money and get a spring. To be honest, while spring pistols are rarely any good for skirmish, they do have the advantage of being cheap and often detailed, perfect for video making, garden plinkering or even just using as a wall display, gas pistols however are mostly usable, the dirt cheap ones are very low range, some even matching a basic spring pistol, at the end of the day it all depends on what you want to use it for
TBH, I can’t see spending more than 29$ for any spring loaded air soft pistol unless it’s one of those replica metal ones, but when you get in that price rang might as well get yourself a nice replica pellet or bb pistol. The Umarex Glock 17 Gen 4 blow back BB gun is my dream air gun atm

I have an L96 AWS, pretty standard rifle, I'm very happy with it, it's very accurate and shoots with pretty good force. Idk about you but to me, it doesn't make sense to buy a CO2/GBB sniper rifle.

Question, I saw that on the spring pistol have a sort of lever that flung up when ever it was shot and pulled down, whenever shot. So could you just pull that back instead of the entire slide?
zigo style springs can be used for desperate situations but they chrono your guns in an airsoft war so if you go above the limit you may just have to use your spring

The taurus m92 spring pistol I had was a charm. The lower reciever and grip covers were made of polymer, and the slide was all metal.
Spring guns are pretty fun mess around with and if you take care of it properly it'll last since most spring guns break in a few weeks

The Tokyo Marui High Grade spring pistol series is the one people should go for when considering buying spring pistols.
They have some awesome gun models (Glock 17 Gen 2 standard and Long Slide version, USP, M1911A1, CZ 75, P228) and I swear they shoot more accurate and farther than my Cyma AEGs.They are good.
I'm a proud owner of the CZ 75 First Model and soon, I'll get a Glock 17 Gen 2 as well.
I just ordered Tokyo Marui H&K Mark 23 HG Spring after almost 20 years of no airsoft.
If I still enjoy the hobby I'd go straight to buy another TM springer preferably H&K P7M13 I'm not very fond of them not being authentically weighed though since these TM springers weighed less than half of the real thing but I'm just asking too much out of $40 plastic spring guns at this point.

I actually had an Airsoft gun when I was very young. It was an assault rife I think, but I don’t remember. There was also a pistol. They broke quickly though, and I never knew what airsoft was back then
When I was a nipper I swapped the out the spring in my BSA .22 for a stronger one , it was hard to cock , but it was powerful as . after a while I noticed I was hitting low , checked through the barrel and saw a half moon lol
The way to go with springers is just be a pirate,keep multiple on you when one's already been used

spring was my first gun to see if i liked airsoft. I did and want to actually start playing games. So i started getting gas by making and saving money but no buying takis and literally any other thing i didn't need. But i know there are some people that just like shooting for fun in their backyard against like a target with their brothers or something. In that case save money and get a spring. If u want to play games get gas

You cant put too much gas in your mag, so you are not gonna have to worry about breaking it with too much gas

To be honest, while spring pistols are rarely any good for skirmish, they do have the advantage of being cheap and often detailed, perfect for video making, garden plinkering or even just using as a wall display, gas pistols however are mostly usable, the dirt cheap ones are very low range, some even matching a basic spring pistol, at the end of the day it all depends on what you want to use it for

Got a cheap $20 spring gun, still feels nice to hold and what not. Though of course dislike the manual function, but hey, $20 is what it gets ya.

I hope you managed to find it. If not and still interested. It's the HFC ST8. There are 4 Versions that I am aware of. 2 that look like this, blowback and non-blow back. The other 2 are the same but without the black extension on the front.

Question, I saw that on the spring pistol have a sort of lever that flung up when ever it was shot and pulled down, whenever shot. So could you just pull that back instead of the entire slide?
