I saw them a few years ago at Calvary Chapel when they were doing a reunion tour. Was just like old times. Thank you so much for having them on your show. God bless you! Church historians say it has to go into the records of Great great awakenings. 1400 Calvary Chapel Churches were started in U.S. Many more in other countries. God was in it! They are solid in the word. I listen to many of the calvary pastors daily on their network

I went to high school with Chucks sister Teddi in the 60s. He got saved then Teddi got saved and then I accepted Jesus in the tent in 1971. I was 25 and now I am turning 77 this year and am still following Jesus. Love songs music was my everything in those early days. Their music takes me back to my first love. ❤
Chuck Girard was a member of the group The Castells in the early 60's. Check out their hits "Sacred" and "So This Is Love". Wonderful songs from days gone by.
Enjoyed the video I met Chuck Girard in Kentucky way back around 2007. We enjoyed a Mexican meal in Brandenburg KY and he the music and conversation was excellent.
Was there when Love Song first sang at Calvary Chapel. I transitioned from playing the Beatles on my guitar to Love Song's tunes, Larry Norman songs, etc. The "Jesus Movement" was Jesus moving in the lives of millions of us hippies and searching young people. America could use another revival like what happened in the early 70s.
As far as I know the documentary hasn’t found a distributor yet. I haven’t heard anything yet. Will need to contact Ron Strand and Chuck to see what is happening with the film.

It's 50 years later and I still play Love Song music all the time.
Love Song will always have a special place in my heart.

I met Love Song in 1970 (?) when they were performing on the street corner at Guadalupe and 24th Street in Austin, Texas.
In my opinion this was one of the greatest Christian singing groups of all time! 🙏😊🎆
