I do believe the reason the scene with Akane exists is to convey how she can’t be phased by anything after Aqua’s death. I do wish the mourning process got an arc of its own because it leaves the impression of it being rushed. I see the vision and understand, but I believe it would’ve came off much better if Aka gave it a few more chapters to better see the characters go through mourning. Other than that, I’d say it’s an alright ending Really like your coverage of the chapter!
I can totally agree that the grieving isn’t shown well, sort of sad one moment and then semi happy the next. But if I had to guess they didn’t want the manga to run too much longer after Aqua passes. Thank you for the kind words.
The thing about the ending is that i like the direction, message, themes etc. of it, but it feels like it could have been executed a bit better. I think my biggest criticism or thing that i would gave wanted more of is getting ruby’s pov. I wish the final chapter would have been narrated by her atleast to better understand her feelings. Like the final chapter is currently narrated by akane who is telling us of ruby’s feeling, but would have preferred to hear it more from ruby herself. Like we got more chapters of aqua drowning in the ocean, so i wished ruby’s grief and recovery got the same screentime. By the way, you should listen to the 2 ed in english. It basically is a good summary of ruby and her feelings in the end i thk.

@ yeh that ed, the s2’s ed “Burning”. Theres an official english version by the same singer and it’s very clearly about ruby (just like how mephisto was about aqua). Kinda surprising to know that u haven’t watched s2 ye though.

couldnt even give a chapter of our boi being reincarnated again this time in a promising happy life? This feels like the author wanted to do the Aqua x Ruby route but the backlash made it a no go , so if he cant have his way, no one can have their way.
I don’t believe so, o just think the aqua x ruby route was just the reaction ruby had aqua wanted no part of it. Also I’m happy that Aka stuck to the ending of what he did to aqua. Either way thank you very much for watching even if we don’t quite agree!!
