With that said, I feel it is important to point out a few things regarding Ron Johnson considering he was portraying himself as somebody who is against corruption in our government. For what its worth, I am not a Democrat nor a Republican. These statements are all verifiable and public, and there are many more examples. 1 - Johnson is “one of the richest members of the Senate, with a net worth of tens of millions,” and “according to Johnson’s Personal Financial Disclosures, his wealth has likely doubled since running for the Senate.” 2 - During his 2010 campaign, Johnson promised to place his assets in a blind trust to ensure that he would legislate in the public interest. That did not happen. 3 - Ron Johnson blocked efforts to crack down on corporate tax dodging while benefitting from this. Johnson “owns 9.9 percent of DP Lenticular, a Dublin-based company, which is worth up to $500,000” and had just one full-time employee. “Johnson’s brother, Barry, sat on their board. The company is owned by Spanish holding company that pays no taxes….Johnson repeatedly opposed measures to close the tax loophole that allows companies to avoid taxes by reincorporating in low-tax countries like Ireland.” 4 - Senator Ron Johnson personally benefited from the tax change he sought. He began the sale of his company months after insisting on change of tax law for passthrough companies.

First of all, great video. Your investigative journalism is very much appreciated, and needed with the current state our country is in. With that said, I feel it is important to point out a few things regarding Ron Johnson considering he was portraying himself as somebody who is against corruption in our government. For what its worth, I am not a Democrat nor a Republican. These statements are all verifiable and public, and there are many more examples.
1 - Johnson is “one of the richest members of the Senate, with a net worth of tens of millions,” and “according to Johnson’s Personal Financial Disclosures, his wealth has likely doubled since running for the Senate.”
2 - During his 2010 campaign, Johnson promised to place his assets in a blind trust to ensure that he would legislate in the public interest. That did not happen.
3 - Ron Johnson blocked efforts to crack down on corporate tax dodging while benefitting from this. Johnson “owns 9.9 percent of DP Lenticular, a Dublin-based company, which is worth up to $500,000” and had just one full-time employee. “Johnson’s brother, Barry, sat on their board. The company is owned by Spanish holding company that pays no taxes….Johnson repeatedly opposed measures to close the tax loophole that allows companies to avoid taxes by reincorporating in low-tax countries like Ireland.”
4 - Senator Ron Johnson personally benefited from the tax change he sought. He began the sale of his company months after insisting on change of tax law for passthrough companies.
It seems like everyone in congress has genuine intentions at the start but they eventually become corrupt and realize they can’t fix what they came to DC to fix and end up just playing the game everyone else does. Not surprised man, but a tad bit disappointed
