I’m 22 and I’ve been smoking heavily for about five years. I’ve quit smoking entirely now for about a month but for the last year or so to this day I’ve been coughing up globs of shit…black, brown, green nasty sticky stuff. I’ve got this weird gurgling sound in my lungs almost like a stomach grumble but it’s not like any of these examples. It doesn’t happen when I breathe in or out it just happens randomly mostly in my left lung sometime in my right. I’ve been told it’s just my body clearing stuff out but it feel like it been going on for so long and I can’t seem to find anything online that’s the same as what I’m experiencing.

I feel you bro I’m in the exact same situation strangely same age and amount of time heavily smoking and feeling the same thing or like my lungs are sounding delayed and I can’t find out what is going on have you learned anything?

You should go to a chest doctor.
The things you spit out are one of the main indications of COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) which most of the time begins with coughing up myriad of things including even blood in the later stages. If you cough for at least 3 months either everyday or someday yes and some no in a 2 year period then you could be diagnosed with COPD.
Fortunately if you catch it early enough the treatment will be easier as treatment depends on what stage you're disease is in.
Of course it involves quitting smoking entirely.
      Undergraduate rolling out 😅

Thank you so much for the useful information about the wheezing sounds, Ill get to doctor ASAP, this sounds exactly like me, I had pneumonia 3 months ago, and I'm making those sounds after I do cardio at the gym and start to cough right after, for couple of hours

Voice record it or video record it show it to doctor.maybe your car got dust or fumes coming out of the ac that can cause wheezing and coughing.

    im 33 and
i hard cough every morning and every night for more than 30 minutes small balls of mucus and they are VERY VERY sticky.
i also got numbness/formicary to chest and sometimes to my face from the hard cough.
i feel my airways from lungs have mucus, also in my throat. and full phlegm, i cannot understand if it comes from my stomach or it drops from the back of my nose to the throat.
breath wheezing and i can feel a "war" inside my lungs/throat when i hard push my breath air to get out..
also it happens when i eat food at late night...
it is gastroesophageal reflux? it is from smoking? it is an allergy ? is it asthma ?
i feel like i have bronchitis and perma cough for the last 6+ years...
What doctor i must visit ?
    otolaryngologist? allergist? pulmonologist?cardiologist?

32 mate suspected copd not got the confirmation yet but its scary as hell. Have you been diagnosed yet? I see this was like a year a ago. Started a week ago when I was finding it hard to breath like breathing through a straw I stopped smoking right away and it's got better but not gone. It's really scary 😨 😫 how are you doing and is there anyone I can talk to. I also have autism and A.D.D so it's really messing with my mental helth
