Kyle Walker is amazing and his first shoe was fantastic bu I was super disapointed in these shoes. . . I would not get them again and if you want them then get them but if you are not sure. . . love y'all
I've gotten these shoes twice now. I recommend you get these shoes and break them in or skate them on an old board. I've done the mistake of skating them on a newly set up board and literally in 2 weeks they'll be ripped. I love them but they don't last long at all. I got my second pair on Black Friday off the berries website for $30 tho. Still searching for a long lasting skate shoe :/

@@bhssucksass.639 I was actually looking at those shoes recently. I skated the Adidas Liberty Cup ones before around April and they lasted me till late July. I found them on Zumiez on discount and ordered them again. Another $30 steal haha I'm much better now than I was in April tho so I'm going to see how long the liberty cup shoes last me this time around.

Interesting, skating these right now and i love them. Put some FP's in there and I also have wide feet so that might have something to do with it. They do get a little warm but its didnt seem like anything too extreme. I dont live in cali so maybe its not as hot but I've been enjoying them. Nice review though, quality content

Ngl, when I walked in with mine, the first thing my dad said was “why do you have diabetic shoes” I honestly thought they looked pretty cool, I liked the unique color way and all but when I got them the truth hit me, I haven’t skated them yet so no comment there but I’m sure they’ll be just fine.

They do look fly with the right fit, I have these same ones. I suck at skating so I don’t go through them as fast as some people, but mine have held up skating a few times a week for 3 months now

Yeah I was really hyped on these, but they didn't hold up to the expectations I had for them. They never felt like they were tight enough to support me and after I wore them a bit it felt like I couldn't even tighten the velcro enough to walk around comfortably. The sole of the shoe towards the heel felt really stiff and heavy too, and I never really felt like the broke in, it just felt like the upper got saggy and the sole stayed hard and stiff.
Imma have to give these a "The velcro would have been cool if it was just a lace protector"/10

I don’t think they are that bad. My feet don’t sweat so bad the skin falls off my feet, breathability never came to mind. They do feel kinda loose , but they have not slipped off my foot yet.

Hey folks...I'm a Podiatrist. It's not necessarily the shoes that don't breathe well. It could be, but it's also the socks most people wear. Get rid of all your cotton, beat up socks. Gets some moisture wicking socks (like Under Armor) and if you sweat a ton, also spray your feet real quick with some under arm deodorant spray before putting your socks then. THEN when you're done skating, while you're still at the park, change your socks.
The other thing is that generally, insoles that come with shoes suck. Big time. They are not meant to last. I wear custom orthotics in my skate shoes. Get something over the counter to replace the insoles that come with shoes out. Footprints are okay, but not the best. Try Powersteps.

I got the some of thoses and honestly I love them and I have tried other shoes such as lakai cambridge, but the flick was gone in a matter of days... The kyle walker's feel like a sock to me and with some shoe goo on the "weird canvas thingy that rips way too easly" every now and then, they lasted me about 4 months before I blew a hole in them (in the flicking part). Never even tore a single hole in the suede and the strap held on fine. Plus, I live in Canada (Quebec to be precise), most of the time the weather is either just right or a little hot on summer days, I still recommend letting your feets air out time to time though they are indeed not very breathable. The overall durability of the shoe is pretty good, altough the sole gets slippery after a while or that just may be coming from the unbelieveble amount of dust in my local skatepark haha. But like I said the only real bugger about this shoe to me is the "weird canvas thingy that rips way too easly" and the lack of impact absortion like mentioned in the video. Love the vid too much love

They’re dope. There’s a certain element of the GT Blazer Lows (Bruin influence) that make them a much better looking, fitting, and skating shoe compared to the OG Blazer Low from 7+ years ago.

Yo Christian. I don't know if you're aware of the frustration with the Nike SB Dunks. They're hardly available due to them only dropping special releases and collabs for hype beasts. A lot of people are suggesting to skate replicas of the SB Dunks (not counterfeit ones, just non-branded replicas). It would make a very interesting review if you bought some replica shoes and compared them to the real ones ! Haven't seen anyone else doing that, might get quite a lot of views.

I’ve never had swamp foot in a skate shoe that bad before so that’s definitely a flaw with the shoe🤕 I bought these and only skated them 2 or 3 times because even though it has the same wafflecup sole as the OG Kyle Walkers and the Gilbert Crockett pro’s 1 & 2 it felt like a regular cupsole shoe to me and I couldn’t flick anything right or feel my board enough to be confident skating. They’ve since become my going out to eat or hike shoes and they are extremely comfortable to walk around in. If you like cupsole shoes they’re probably decent too

the first two pairs i got i fell in love with ... the third pair i had the same issue as you.. the velcro didnt seem to hold my foot tight enough... one of the homies at the skatepark near me also loves them. he reccomended that i shoe goo the strap where it is stitched to the shoe... i may by a cheaper pair and try this. also i totally agree with they look old.. i call them my grandpa shoe.. to be honest it seems like most of the colorways look like old people shoes... because the ones that dont look pretty cool

Leather shoes are really hard for me to get used to, but they’re really durable if you can get used to it
part of the problem is possibly the strap being entirely suede? suede stretches.
BTW you weren't exaggerating, your feet look really skinny. i have the opposite problem so maybe these vans will fit my ultrawide feet.

But from when I started skating,
lace savers were mainly for vert skaters.
Save for a few ,like the Vision DV8s, & DV9s that had extra tongues that attached from the base of the laces to the top.
As lace savers that attached by velcro to the sides ,died quicker than 'Sheriff Brady'
in 'Young guns' .😁

Got a pair of KW2's leather upper style on sale $30 and have been skating them for 2 weeks now. I'm flat footed but damn, my feet get painfully sore after only 5-10 mins of skating them. I had to switch back to my full vulc dcs because my whole lower body was spent in less than an hour. I have to say when it comes to vans, just about anything rowleys or era is a win for me. These however, I just did not enjoy. I always wanted to try a pair of kingfoam FP insoles and put in an order so i'll see if this helps them out. Other than that, flip tricks are just like any other skate shoe and are fine for me. Maybe these hybrid outsoles are just not for my feet.

@@christianflores kinda, I would said they are on the wider end of average, wide enough to where if I pull the strap as tight as possible on my foot it lines up perfect with the velcro, so even as the shoe gets broken in and soggy, I never have to adjust and pull the strap tighter to compensate
