I was thinking the same thing. Looking at how beautiful the world is, how could you not add a photo mode?? But the game was delayed so maybe they just skipped over that to get the game out which is understandable. It's a bummer tho 😭
@@LucidDiamond A possibility, but as a Unity 3D programmer I can tell you that when properly coded it's as simple as "hide GUI -> hide player -> record pixels to PNG -> reveal player -> reveal GUI". It's about three hours of coding. Plus, "hide/reveal GUI" is in the game already.
@@WifeWantsAWizard Wow you're a 3D programmer?? That's so cool! I don't know much about programming, but the way you explained it does seem pretty simple. Do you think they plan on possibly adding a photo mode since the "hide/reveal GUI" is in the game? Or is that used for other stuff as well?
Great Video! One thing I do as well is use the invisibility spell and just position my character against a wall or object, you can pretty much make the character disappear from the screen.
@@LucidDiamond same here, You got any tips for getting the best quality out of the photos, I use GeForce to capture screenshots and edit in photoshop but uploading to OneDrive/google drive just loses quality, Mind making an in depth video explaining what you use?
@@CRXSA Yes I would love to make a video showing my process! What I do is similar to you, except I don't use photoshop. I either take a picture through Nvidia shadowplay or I press the Prt Screen key and it saves to my screenshots in one drive. From there I go on my phone and save the picture and then I edit it through 2 apps, Photoshop express and Lightroom. Then after I am done editing I will just reupload it to one drive and for the most part the quality stays :)
I believe it takes place before the events of Harry Potter. You enter Hogwarts as a fifth year student and learn spells! It's an Open-World RPG so there is a ton to do. It's super fun I'm loving it so far 🥰
@@LucidDiamond yes but I dont use it, when I press printscreen all my other games are in the same place, one file for each game with the screenshots saved, I dont understand why there is no a hogwarts legacy file created
When I screen recorded some videos for Hogwarts Legacy, it saved it in a folder called "Phoenix." And then like a day or two later created another folder in my videos titled "Hogwarts Legacy." Can you go to "This Pc" in your file explorer, and then at the top in search I would type in "Phoenix" or "Hogwarts Legacy" That should help you find it! Since there's no photo mode in HL, they might not have programmed it to create a file for pictures/screenshots
Also, I just realized if you have the game on Steam you can press F12 and it will take a screenshot through Steam. Then you can download it from there :)
"No photo mode" is a stunning mistake on Avalanche's part. I have no idea why they wouldn't want people posting huge panoramics to social media.

Thank you so much! :) and oh my gosh I didn't even think of that! That's a great idea. Have you gotten any cool pictures so far? 💕
@@LucidDiamond NP! 😁 I can't stop taking pictures tbh, this game looks so pretty!
I don't blame you! The game is stunning. I think I take pictures literally every time I play 😂 I hope you're enjoying the game so far! 💜
Thank you! This was really helpful to know prior to me getting the game tomorrow!
You're welcome! So glad I could help you out before you get the game 🥰💚
Hi, What resolution do you play the game at? those pictures came out unreal! Props to you! Amazing edits.
Thank you so much!! 🤍 I am playing at 4k resolution! Most of my games graphics settings are set at ultra as well :)
@@LucidDiamond More than welcome, You must have a beefy system tbh
Haha yes I do! I built my pc because it was a lot cheaper to do it that way and get the parts I wanted :)

Yo your character’s face looks just like mine lol. Just that mine has a different haircut, black hair and glasses.
Ayyeee 😁nice! What house is your character in?
@@LucidDiamond I’m in Ravenclaw
@@coldblizzard5880 That's awesome! I might choose Ravenclaw for my second playthrough. I hope you're enjoying the game so far ✨
