    She got that which other speakers didn't, we get more connected in actual reality rather than virtual

    For me it was her ability to speed up and slow down her speech. It’s what draws you in and makes you strap in for the journey she’s taking you on. Beautiful. Nice work.

      @@AbdulwasiSekandari But children are the future. Although she didn't mention heavy facts revolving the use of social media like other debaters, she mentioned a group of individuals who can seriously be affected and how that would be detrimental to society. That is an example of how social media corrupts human interactions, and it is a pretty good example. She is also just very a good speaker, very engaging, and not a bore.

    she was talking about real-life stories and it was amazing
    for Cherry Healey, social media is part of her life because you expect a hit of interest and excitement and it is a depomine
    she uses gesture perfectly
    she makes perfect jokes
    she speaks clearly and smoothly
    she is relaxed
    compare to other speakers she looks paper less than others

    I agree cherry ! I gave up Facebook last February for lent and never went back. Find myself not on my phone as much. Am 57 and remember a time when you had to listen to your parents, as so on. Sitting in silence is a good point to hear one self . Not reaching out for that dopamine to answer a question. ... thank you for this video.... thanks

    One very important point that I think is implied in her speech is that social media doesn’t only corrupt our interaction with others but also our interactions with ourselves

      @arts_ambassador 8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Well said. And there are so many things that are infinitely more rewarding even for those who don't have babies. It can take a long while before one enjoys enough of those infinities to become conscious of that fact though.

    Her way is attacking the audience's sympathy and yes in a debate that is a strategic way because that's the main purpose of it. To get the attention of your audience and their sympathy to be on your side and be able to win the debate though. However, the evidences were not clearly stated wherein in the beginning of her speech it's so hard for me to understand her points. I just understand it at the latter part and I could say that when it comes to her propositions it is quite convincing and touchy especially if you're a parent since your priority is to see your children grow and help them develop their competencies, attitude, and behavior towards life especially how they express themselves to the outside world. And she also highlighted the benefits of living with them to be able to support and provide the guidance that a member of the family needs which I guess is a very strong point especially nowadays wherein children and adolescents need proper guidance since they're vulnerable to bullying and depression as well, so it is an advantage if there's at least a parent beside you who will give you unconditional love and eternal support.
    For my general comment on her speech. I could say that when it comes to her delivery it's not quite convincing especially the articulation of the words but the message types and the attacking style is strategic and might be strong assets for the debater to at least convince others about her propositions.
