Alternative metal or post hardcore, but far from heavy metal. And to be frank, the guitar riff is a clear take from Stockholm Syndrom from Muse. Still it's own thing and awesome nonetheless, and it is not like the band is shy about giving credit on where some of their inspiration for parts of their songs come from.

I mistook the title for "C'est Le Rien" instead of "Ce N'est Rien", but it turns out to both mean the same thing; but "ce n'est rien" has notes on Google translate that say it means "never mind"/"forget it"
while "c'est le rien" literally means "it's nothing" without that connotation, I guess?
@@decaf4450 "c'est le rien" doesn't really make sense in french, it translates to "it's the nothing", which we wouldn't say. But you're right, "ce n'est rien" has this conotation of meaning "nevermind/forget it/it's okay" (on top of sometimes literally meaning "it's nothing")

I remember when I first heard this, I was sitting in work listening to the new EP when it dropped with my earphones in. I couldn't hide the sheer excitement and shock. I ran straight down to share it with a friend and then forwarded it to anyone I knew would like it. I haven't been left that gob smacked by a song my entire life

Going further into the rabbit hole of depth on this band. I think there are some people not paying attention to a very polished, talented band maturing into a world killer right in front of our eyes. From the outstanding lyrical vocals, and solid musical landscape roughing out more room in the rock genre, These popjohnsons are getting it all over themselves! Just lay there and let it happen! Lol

I was falling asleep when I first heard this song but it woke me up immediately. Screamo in an NBT song? Consider me 110% on board.
Every time they release a new song they further solidify their place as my favorite band
0:22 I assume the main guitar riff was notably influenced by Stockholm Syndrome by Muse. That riff will never leave a guitar players mind once you hear it, and the band does not seem shy anyway about giving credit on some of the influences in their songs. If that might be the case, it is in no way a problematic rip off, and this is a very welcomed and well done heavier song from this otherwise softer group.
