I wish the medical industry would put forth a much more inclusive approach to all people. There's nothing worse than the feeling that your doctor doesn't care to address your needs the same as any other person. I was diagnosed with hypogonadism in my early thirties. The one thing I kept trying to express was that I felt better emotionally than I ever had before. Between a pushy spouse and a doctor that wasn't listening, I ended up feeling berated and abused for speaking my truth. I didn't want testosterone therapy. It sounded awful. In the end they won the discussion, and I was subjected to androgel treatments for almost a year. I felt worse inside, both physically and emotionally. My hatred for my body was worse than ever before. I wish I would have had the vocabulary and the knowledge of what my feelings were trying to tell me back then. A doctor, that hears someone say they feel better without the hormone they want to prescribe to them, should be conscious of the fact that patients may not always know what their body is really telling them, and they should ask more questions to determine if the person they are talking to may, in fact, be transgender.
8 minutes in, and the host didn't address the effects of HRT on the heart for MTF. It's distressing that many videos are drawn out and vague. It would help to get to the point, please. Not everyone can focus that long. What's the point of presenting slides if you're not saying what's on the slide? You're presenting one thing while speaking about something else. I can't read the slide, listen to you, and at the same time understand both. 💁♀️🤦♀️ Although this is my feedback, this is only my opinion of my experience watching this video. I'm happy this topic is being researched and look forward to more streamlined answers pertaining to trans health in the future for trans people. I just had to keep rewinding the video.
You seem to have misunderstood the entire topic. A person's gender identity is often experienced as immutable and important to who they are, not something that they dreamed up in an afternoon. If you would like to speak publicly about this very serious topic that affects many people's lives, please educate yourself a little first, or start by asking sincere questions. Also, the use of the phrase "the transgenders" is offensive and is often used by people - like yourself - to dismiss or belittle or insult transgender people. Saying "transgender people" is the inclusive way to say it, if that wasn't your intent.
No, it's imagined. This doctor is exploiting suffering people. Nobody is "transgender." Sex is binary & unchangeable. There are a collection of psychiatric disorders that have gender dysphoria as a major symptom. That's it.
I know, right? They won't let us have low doses of HRT because of all the "horrible and untenable risks", but they'll give copious amounts to biological males, with the idea its for life. Something isn't adding up.
Being a woman isn't a costume. It shouldn't be available for gender reassignment at all. Sex is unchangeable. The gender ideology is all false & comes from queer theory.
This is "the real Navy". Review, repeat, review again, and again later. Gold.
I got off of HRT as fast as I could. SRS worked for me.

How does the use of a statin cut down on cardiovascular risk in older transgender women, say over the age of 65?
💕
Are you talking about blood clots? Apparently there are health risks with any medication. You just have to take a chance and hope for the best.
Hi how are you
When you talk about gender, it seems to me to be just imagination of the person. A creation, a figment of the transgenders imagination.

Skateboard ya
Would be nice if biological women didnt have to be denied, beg and suffer because we cannot get HRT not to mention insurance denies them for bio women
