whats interesting is how you can take a trigger like the "gripping objects in silence" then put an actual name on it and distinguish it as a trigger, then it suddenly becomes something more and can actually become something substantial as a genuine trigger that someone may start to like or acknowledge or like listenening to. i wonder how many viable triggers she could actually create if done well and putting a label on and calling them something. kinda interesting how your brain works to suddenly recognize and like a random trigger like that once created, excuted well and labeled.

Rare Trigger: anticipatory whispers- like when it's ear to ear whispers but they leave space in between whispers so you don't know which ear they're going to whisper in I love this one so much but I can rarely find it anywhere 😩
Rare Trigger idea: This one is a bit weird lol, but running your fingers through seeds like birdseed or watermelon seeds just that soft clinking gives me the best tingling!
I have a specific trigger: tapping and dragging (idk if that’s the correct way to describe it) your nails across a hardcover book (not on the book sleeve) and then flipping through the book and pretending to read from it while using your finger as a line guide EDIT: The flipping is almost aggressive and like you’re looking for a specific page
Rare trigger: Wordless examination and testing. Kinda like the object gripping, but you run random tests on us without speaking, tapping the screen with things and shining lights, noting down information but not telling us what you’re doing.
Ooh I have a similar one that always gives me tingles, I usually only find it in collabs, when one of the people is talking about me or referring to me without acknowledging me/treating me like I'm not there or can't hear/understand them.

And in the ending she goes like "Bruh, I don't even know how to tell you this, but I'm very glad I'm not you"

The part when you examined the book and dinosaur was the most tingles I've gotten. I really think you should make a video of examing objects in silent! I keep rewinding it, I've watched that part over 20 times xoxo
the “gripping in silence” trigger (a name i find astronomically hilarious for some reason) was fantastic! props to whoever requested that, i could definitely watch a whole video
it’s crazy how good gibi is at her job, i mean you wouldn’t even think that looking at her nose and having a flashlight come out into shot would give so many tingles, it always amazes me and i always appreciate it when you get creative in the ways you give us tingles
i will try to make this the least confusing i can sorry if its still hard to understand. one really good trigger is taking a lid and putting it on top of the mic (so its like the mic is the jar and you're putting the lid on) and then like tap and scratch it. it takes normal tapping and scratching lids to a WHOLE NEW LEVEL
Here’s something insanely specific. The sound of a wig bring brushed with a cheap plastic brush like a tangle teaser. But the wig has to be straight and relatively short hair. I think it’s the sound of the brush and underly for me but this specific trigger actually started for me from Jeffree Star in one of his videos.
TRIGGER REQUEST: Brushing the camera lens with a big, fluffy, black brush while you whisper one or more words for each stroke and on the 5-6, the brush stays on the camera for a while and then the series repeats. Example: "Brushing you" *brush* "Gently" *brush* "Softly" *brush* "Calmly" *brush* "To sleep" *brush stays on the camera for a few seconds, then it slowly goes away again*
My specific triggers are 1. Writing something with a pencil on paper lightly but the pencil is quite blunt and it makes quite a quiet scratching sound but the scratching is smooth (idek how to explain it ) 2. 1st request: the schwoop sound you do when you pull the anxiety away after snipping it 2nd request: mumbling words. Unintelligible speaking but its understandable, like when you inspect something, but you speak it really close to the mic 3rd request: treating us like little kids and giving us personal attention, like asking how old i am, favorite color and kind of like a kindergarten teacher
I love the 2nd one. My first exposure to "inaudible whispering" was more semi-audible, where if I focused I could pick up most of the words but if i didn't it sounded like gibberish. So many tingles and I can never find similar videos ):

They are two different words. Can we all just relax and watch Gibi now? To those who haven’t seen the replies: Don’t. It’s heated. Edit like 3: I know this thread has kind of died. I wanted to come back to say don’t send hate or say rude things to anybody that thought I meant electric. As it’s been said before, humans make mistakes. So let’s be gentle to each other ok? Sleep well
Rare triggers I have: 1) Getting really close to the mic, cupping your hand over it and saying a world with singular vowel but it’s incoherent. 2) Poking the mic with the stem of maple leaves (idk how this manifested but it did) 3) Tapping a 2/3 or 1/2 filled container of a cream hair product (like a hair gel container) 4) *Pistachio shells.* 5) whisper shouting complete nonsense. (Ex. The goose ate the lawn mowing green on Jupiter) 6) saying cold on the right side of the mic and hot on the left. So Hot hot hot hot cot colt hot hot hot hot (i just realized i have a Todoroki trigger- i stg anime is taking over my life) edit: Grammar, and also.. Rare Trigger Suggestion: You know when you pour a little bit of water on paper and when it dries it like makes a nice crinkle sound? That... if you don’t know what I mean I guess just crumpling paper then uncrumpling it over and over again works just as good 😶
rare suggestion: taking your picture, but using a flashlight as the flash of the camera and the clicking of a stapler as the sound of the camera clicking. (miss manganese asmr does a really great job of this) love you gibi!!❤️
The gripping of the objects was amazing (the dino and the book). I'd looooove to have a longer video with that,i keep rewinding it because I just love that kind of sound so much
Rare trigger suggestion: a quite stiff bristled brush but instead of brushing the mic you like scratch and push the bristles with your hand (I hope this made sence) And another one that isn’t as rare but I still don’t see it done very much, brushing the camera and mic at the same time so you get the sound aswell as visual tingles. This is my fave trigger

Edit like 3: I know this thread has kind of died. I wanted to come back to say don’t send hate or say rude things to anybody that thought I meant electric. As it’s been said before, humans make mistakes. So let’s be gentle to each other ok? Sleep well

Rare triggers I have:
1) Getting really close to the mic, cupping your hand over it and saying a world with singular vowel but it’s incoherent.
2) Poking the mic with the stem of maple leaves (idk how this manifested but it did)
3) Tapping a 2/3 or 1/2 filled container of a cream hair product (like a hair gel container)
4) *Pistachio shells.*
5) whisper shouting complete nonsense. (Ex. The goose ate the lawn mowing green on Jupiter)
6) saying cold on the right side of the mic and hot on the left. So
Hot hot hot hot cot colt hot hot hot hot (i just realized i have a Todoroki trigger- i stg anime is taking over my life)
edit: Grammar, and also.. Thanks for the likes, I didn’t really expect this to blow up to 200+ likes c:

So I know this is strange but I get a lot of tingles when asmr’s use like “$1” mic or just the apple wired earbud mic then softly tap on the mic. This is SUPER rare and I love it!

The anxiety snipping reminded me of the 3 old ladies in Hercules that would cut the string and kill people
AHEM THEY ARE CALLED THE FATES
Yes the fates are what controls death and they choose people and snip a cord which is connected to the persons life and then they die. They are one of the most powerful beings in Greek Mythology seeing as they can’t die.
It reminded me of a mini game on Mario party 8
Per yyy
@Julia Darnieder yeah I didn’t claim to.. idk why you’re so pressed about me not knowing their names

Oh my
“Gripping items in silence” is a HUGE one I didn’t know I had. Holy moly
My favorite thing about ASMR in general is how it teaches you about yourself...I had no idea what a calming effect the complete darkness to "not dark" would have on my brain! Thank you :)
Rare Trigger Suggestion: You know when you pour a little bit of water on paper and when it dries it like makes a nice crinkle sound? That... if you don’t know what I mean I guess just crumpling paper then uncrumpling it over and over again works just as good 😶
Yes!!! Like turning the pages of a magazine or a book that has gotten slightly wet!
Yess! Sounds sooo good.
I suggest checking out "Rebecca's Beautiful ASMR Addiction"! She has tons of videos with this exact, specific trigger 🤗
Oohhh ok thank you so much! I’ll be sure to check that out :D
rare suggestion: taking your picture, but using a flashlight as the flash of the camera and the clicking of a stapler as the sound of the camera clicking. (miss manganese asmr does a really great job of this) love you gibi!!❤️
I love that trigger! ❤️
One trigger i really like is tapping on books or wooden blocks, the sound is just so satisfying
Same!
The gripping of the objects was amazing (the dino and the book). I'd looooove to have a longer video with that,i keep rewinding it because I just love that kind of sound so much
Rare trigger suggestion: a quite stiff bristled brush but instead of brushing the mic you like scratch and push the bristles with your hand (I hope this made sence)
And another one that isn’t as rare but I still don’t see it done very much, brushing the camera and mic at the same time so you get the sound aswell as visual tingles. This is my fave trigger
As someone with severe sensory issues, your asmr has helped me get through a lot.
