Welcome to this Shallow Guitar Tutorial by Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper! I got a lot of requests for this song and after I listened to it fell in love with the song. It's quite original and has some stunning vocal performances - who knew Bradley Cooper could sing?! The song itself has a lovely fingerpicking riff and is a lot simpler to play than you might think. The second half of the song is mostly just strumming, so nothing too outrageous for a beginner to tackle.

I just came back from the cinemas from seeing this movie and I was blown away. What a truly emotional and inspiring movie. But holy shit, this song is one of the most heart-wrenching songs I've ever heard. I usually don't listen to pop music since I'm more of a metal head but this song just grabbed me and now I'm listening to it on repeat. I could listen to it all day. The message behind it, backed up with the movie is just something so special. To be completely honest. I was never really that fond of Lady Gaga or her music, but after this movie I have so much respect for her. Her voice will go down as a legend. What a fabulous movie. I have so much praise for Bradley and Lady Gaga.

As a guitar beginner I have to say, you are really amazing. How you split up the single parts of the song, give tips, explain what to focus on. Really excellent didacticism. And what really separates your videos from others is the excellent support with tabs, strumming patterns in the video and thus the possibility to play along.
I learned that song in around a week, and as I said, I am still a beginner (though my insane fantasy to start guitar playing with Jimi Hendrix might have prepared me for easier songs😋).
Thanks for going through all the effort to really make this excellent! Keep it up!
By the way, playing it in the electric guitar can also have something special, although the song is clearly best on the acoustic 😄. But I like the mix.

As many others the first thing I did after watching "A Star Is Born" was to go home and look for tutorials on how to play Shallow. I looked through most of them and this is the best one - very clean, detailed and sounds amazing. Excellent video. Crystal clear and the format with graphics for each pick / strumming is wonderful, probably the best I have seen on YT. ONE small thing I'd add is a small summary at the end so when the player has finished practicing each part one can visualize how each parts integrate. Here for example the whole song you play is:
