He's still good, especially if opponent can't react to db3+4. Still has great punishment, poking and a homing move CH launcher that's neutral on block. Plus everything goes into hitman and still has great keepout and defensive tools. I'd place him in A. Only placement I strongly disagree with.

@wyzin5865 maybe. He's still good in tournaments imo. Need to give it time. Only issue is that the best Lee player right now is Super Akouma. No disrespect (he'd completely destroy me) but he couldn't even make top 8 with Akuma most times outside of EU. Now you can't say Akuma was shit because he couldn't do well in tourneys. Even then, the closes Super Akouma got to beating Arslan was Lee.
in my opinion he placed him too high, for me he is just above Bryan, he is strong but he shouldn't be nerfed too much as he is a very difficult character, the real potential today is managed by perhaps 2 or 3 players in the world, he hasn't it makes sense to nerf it too much, leaving out the guardbreak which is certainly too strong (the flash has always had it in tekken even in tekken 7 it was guaranteed combo and not guaranteed b22 and at any time and not just during heat)
Dragunov ke qcf4 pe joh pushback hai usse move block hone ke baad neutral hi restore ho jata hai almost, delayed wr2 aur d2 ka khatra toh wahi same neutral mein jo rehta hai same waisa hi hota hai, aur khud qcf4 kitna linear hai. b4,2 ke extensions ka counterplay simple hai. Zafina needs to be reverted back to her Tekken 7 state. The issue was her movement but they took it upon themselves to nerf pretty much everything about her.
Leroy ka main weakness yehi hain ki sab buffs are high. So if you duck and play a patient game, Leroy can be defeated easily. Plus he is highly side steppable. So putting him in A is a very good call.
Yes, finally someone states that Hwoarang is in a horrible state. Now, if you get beat by a Hwo, don’t blame the “mashing”, and put some respect on the other player’s name!
my big surprises when seeing this tier: -Jun is too low in my opinion, as is Reina 🤔 -Law is a beast, S for me -Is Lee that bad? it's very fast and does a lot of great damage, it punishes on WS but it's probably too inconsistent for the extreme technique it requires to use it 100%, I see excellent players dropping its combos both due to the difficulty and due to hitbox cleaning problems, even he doesn't you can actually see it in tournaments but in my opinion it is really a cleaning problem at the character's programming level, it gives me this feeling that they have to clean the various situations well during his attacks. The recent nerf feels a lot but I didn't think it was even among the 3 worst in the game. Raven and Zafina stronger than Lee 💀💀💀 -King weaker than Yoshimitsu I don't agree I think King is A+ and Yoshi at Bryan's level, Yoshi doesn't have great punishments especially on WS except from 15f he's quite slow except obviously the flash makes up for it with his variety in handling situations with his moves but as we said at the beginning of the video Jin is in S because he has no flaws Yoshi has them and in fact we are not seeing them much in tournaments. -Victor S despite the nerfs on him? I've never started playing too much with him because I don't like him at all. Too simple and he bores me straight away 😂 obviously these are my opinions, I certainly won't say that what I say is right, after all the video was made by one of the strongest players in the world, if not the strongest. I'm still new to tekken and started with Reina and started trying to learn Jun. Seeing Jun rated so poorly is a little disappointing. But I'm a low rank so not everything he is saying applies to me. I'll just keep playing her because i find her fun.
Oh okay. So it’s not just me having A LOT of problems ranking up as jun. Everyone considers her to be top tier, but other than damage I don’t think she has anything to threaten the opponent. If you know the match up (and everyone does by now) the character is pretty much unusable.
This is a pro tier list. But IMO A+ and A tier are the same tier. Top1 and S are the same tier too. I mean S,A,B,C is enough for tekken 8 tier list because every character has a chance to place top 16.
Thank you for putting Hwoarang in B. All the complaints come from Red and Purple ranks. I am approaching Bushin now and it is so difficult to start an offense with Hwoarang because now you are facing good players with match up knowledge. So mashing is not gonna work.

The list also highlighted characters that goes under the radar that are way to strong and way easier to manage like claudio and paul.
Ff2 spam is not working hard.
LEE Mains all rise We are no longer top 4 abusers!!
We’ve saying this the whole time 😅
He's still good, especially if opponent can't react to db3+4. Still has great punishment, poking and a homing move CH launcher that's neutral on block. Plus everything goes into hitman and still has great keepout and defensive tools. I'd place him in A. Only placement I strongly disagree with.
@@BullC6 except this is a list for tournament play it seems which in that case where everyone is on their game hes getting shit if this was a ranked tier list itd be different
cope harder
@wyzin5865 maybe. He's still good in tournaments imo. Need to give it time. Only issue is that the best Lee player right now is Super Akouma. No disrespect (he'd completely destroy me) but he couldn't even make top 8 with Akuma most times outside of EU. Now you can't say Akuma was shit because he couldn't do well in tourneys. Even then, the closes Super Akouma got to beating Arslan was Lee.
Very well explained and yes we would like a seperate detailed video for every character..
all the yoshi mains partying up tonight 🎉🎉🎉😂😂
We always party irrespective of the tier. We know the nerfs are coming, the guard break heat combo will be gone soon.
in my opinion he placed him too high, for me he is just above Bryan, he is strong but he shouldn't be nerfed too much as he is a very difficult character, the real potential today is managed by perhaps 2 or 3 players in the world, he hasn't it makes sense to nerf it too much, leaving out the guardbreak which is certainly too strong (the flash has always had it in tekken even in tekken 7 it was guaranteed combo and not guaranteed b22 and at any time and not just during heat)
@@solaswolfer1503 what rank are you?
Nice! Though I think the subtitles need some fixing with the format
Subtitles are awesome man, great video!!
Dragunov ke qcf4 pe joh pushback hai usse move block hone ke baad neutral hi restore ho jata hai almost, delayed wr2 aur d2 ka khatra toh wahi same neutral mein jo rehta hai same waisa hi hota hai, aur khud qcf4 kitna linear hai.
b4,2 ke extensions ka counterplay simple hai.
Aur d2 -1 on hit hai, jab tak counter hit na lage tab tak koi follow up bhi safe nhi hai.
Thoda fairly dekhiye Dragunov ko bhaiya, kaafi strong character hai lekin utna bhi nhi jitna aap bata rahe ho.
so true
Finally someone understands. He just want to win tournament what's why make a propaganda of dragnuv
Pretty cool.you can obviously see that the top 8 is made of that S and A plus characters in next evo.
Appreciate the subtitles Arslan! 💪
Thats why Atif choose the Dragnove, he found his akuma power in Dragnove ❤
Hi Arslan, if you want to make your timestamps effective you have to add a first one 0:00.
Adorable you explained every character with every scenario thank you Ash
i knew it as Dragunov main this charecter is soo good he can defeat all of 😎
Bhai love your gameplay Love from india😮
I oicked up Azucena because you had said she was broken at the start of the game lol, even though shes weak rn still love playing her
When Arslan drops a tierlist it's like a gift from god and nobody can say shit
Why can't anyone say shit about it? It's his opinion same as other players whether pros or casuals
Calm down lol
This tierlist is obviously made for high level tekken, why would I even waste my time hearing casuals opinion? And btw, 99% of views in this video are pretty much casuals
So what? Even at pro there is difference calm down@@Trinax11
The glazing is insane 😂
Tier list is personal preference imo.
Eddy needs help, cant believe they dropped a DLC character in this state but its ok I guess. Eddy is my favorite character in Tekken. I will always play him.
12:39 “Main reasons for a character to be strong that it has good lows.”
This should be the core point of Tekken 8.
I been saying that for ages and people been calling me a scrub. People said Reina is S tier all this time but say she has the worst lows. Make it make sense.
Just a reminder that people were crying about devil Jin when he has no lows on his strings. And no d2 doesn’t count
@@zephune9506 Reina has a midscreen ff2 which if u respect then she has electrics which ur forced to respect, then she does whatever the fk she wants - running moves, hellsweeps. No one wants to respect her forever which is where she opens ppl up. Ppl still dont know how to play Reina it seems
@@etrigan966 ff2 is not even that great anymore. Trust me if you face someone who knows the match its very difficult as all lows are launched. She has no counter hit utility/launchers like kazuya. She has no safe mid launcher like kazuya. One of the most unsafe chars on the game
@@zephune9506 if ur opponent is not sidestepping randomly at range they’re not scared of it, simple delay and you’ll find out how stupid that move will literally carry neutral for a “mishima” especially is criminal

thanks for making this mr ash, its pretty interesting.
At least someone honest about Xiaoyu ! She is difficult to win with, a main Xiaoyu must be dedicated to her and need to do more to have the same results as others. Even with all her 50/50 she is strong but not that strong.
The BT Heat Smash needs a nerf though.
@@BullC6 No need to nerf it… you just side walk to left and it won’t hit you.
@@PKMJyo Issue is when she hits you. Gets hypnotic mix on top of it.
@@BullC6her neutral game is terrible. She needs that 5050 mixup to have whatever little competitiveness she has.
Zafina needs to be reverted back to her Tekken 7 state. The issue was her movement but they took it upon themselves to nerf pretty much everything about her.
I like Shadows still playing Zafina, props to him
the GOAT! PH loves you my man!
Leroy ka main weakness yehi hain ki sab buffs are high. So if you duck and play a patient game, Leroy can be defeated easily. Plus he is highly side steppable. So putting him in A is a very good call.
Thank you for your hard work
Picked up DVJ today for the first time since T7 and oh my god he feels like a straight F tier in this game, EVERY tool has been nerfed into oblivion.
Evo winner !!!!!!!! Again !!!!!!!! And explaining some tekken too for us for free, good guy thanks thanks =D
Yes, finally someone states that Hwoarang is in a horrible state. Now, if you get beat by a Hwo, don’t blame the “mashing”, and put some respect on the other player’s name!
my brother get a good mic lol 😂 Love you Arslan
my big surprises when seeing this tier:
-Jun is too low in my opinion, as is Reina 🤔
-Law is a beast, S for me
-Is Lee that bad? it's very fast and does a lot of great damage, it punishes on WS but it's probably too inconsistent for the extreme technique it requires to use it 100%, I see excellent players dropping its combos both due to the difficulty and due to hitbox cleaning problems, even he doesn't you can actually see it in tournaments but in my opinion it is really a cleaning problem at the character's programming level, it gives me this feeling that they have to clean the various situations well during his attacks. The recent nerf feels a lot but I didn't think it was even among the 3 worst in the game. Raven and Zafina stronger than Lee 💀💀💀
-King weaker than Yoshimitsu I don't agree I think King is A+ and Yoshi at Bryan's level, Yoshi doesn't have great punishments especially on WS except from 15f he's quite slow except obviously the flash makes up for it with his variety in handling situations with his moves but as we said at the beginning of the video Jin is in S because he has no flaws Yoshi has them and in fact we are not seeing them much in tournaments.
-Victor S despite the nerfs on him? I've never started playing too much with him because I don't like him at all. Too simple and he bores me straight away 😂
obviously these are my opinions, I certainly won't say that what I say is right, after all the video was made by one of the strongest players in the world, if not the strongest. Gg man
Lee dies to just turtling him. your mentality of pressing back is what is fundementally wrong.
@@Chaoblahippo sorry my english is bad, I didn't understand your comment haha
anyway Lee if you think about it it's true what I say that he has some programming problems sometimes he hits the wall sometimes not even during some coincident phases I find myself not hitting for who knows what reason, let's realize that before the last patch the heat didn't even come in after WS2,3...
@@solaswolfer1503 No ur english is fine brother dw.
Sorry if it came off aggressive but anti lee is very different from the rest of the cast. He kills you for any button press. But when he has to attack he is critically flawed if you mixup up sidestep duck and sidestep jab
Hi Arslan, do you think we'll ever see Lei Wulong in TEKKEN 8? I'm a main of him and I miss him a lot, in the meantime I congratulate you on winning the EVO, you're great!
I love the Jun downplay so that she doesn't get nerfed, but she definitely is not borderline F tier. As a Jun main, I'd put her minimum A tier
He put her at B not F
@@Goobster56 Borderline F tier. He has her at F until the end of the video. Regardless I'm fine with the downplay
I always agree with your tier lists, they are legit!
I'm still new to tekken and started with Reina and started trying to learn Jun. Seeing Jun rated so poorly is a little disappointing. But I'm a low rank so not everything he is saying applies to me. I'll just keep playing her because i find her fun.
I wanted to hear about my favorite character of Tekken, Asuka Kazama. Glad she isn't F tier 😅
idk if Jun is F tier but I surprisingly agree with basically all of this
Oh okay. So it’s not just me having A LOT of problems ranking up as jun. Everyone considers her to be top tier, but other than damage I don’t think she has anything to threaten the opponent. If you know the match up (and everyone does by now) the character is pretty much unusable.
How many more high class pro players we need that say that Hwoarang is not that good so people finally understand?
😂😂😂 Hwoarang mains just love spamming 4 and don’t know what to do when they feel the pressure😂😂😂😂

This tier list goes against so many tier lists ☠️ interesting nonetheless
Glad to hear an actual expert’s tier list.
This is a pro tier list. But IMO A+ and A tier are the same tier. Top1 and S are the same tier too. I mean S,A,B,C is enough for tekken 8 tier list because every character has a chance to place top 16.
Brother i literally forgot i speak the same language as you. I'm so used to you speaking English in your interviews.
Damn true.
I m reading subtitles. Even though im urdu speaking 😂
Nice tirelist Arslan bro🎉

Thank you for putting Hwoarang in B. All the complaints come from Red and Purple ranks. I am approaching Bushin now and it is so difficult to start an offense with Hwoarang because now you are facing good players with match up knowledge. So mashing is not gonna work.

The subtitles are they machine translated ? or they accurate? would you say they are HIGHLY accurate? I AM TALKING SPECIFICLY about the JIN SEGMENT.
Thanks arslan bhai
Damn you look fresh bro. Nice grooming
Jeodding at that Eddy placement.
He would get clapped as soon as he fights arslan though. There is tiers to high level play and arslan ash is the top 1 tekken player
someone should do rank of players like this would be interesting
I was just about to say
I think this tierlist is base on tournament performance and how often you see those characters in tournaments?
Disappointed by his assessment on Lars, he was very weak in T7 but not in T8. He was also defeated by Lars in int'l tournament by Tekken Master as he mentioned.
The GOAT put Lee in B tier. So Lee is a difficult char and not very rewarding... The Bandai Namco balancing is truly bs...
Raven has it worse, He has so many hitbox glitches and other bs on top of already being risky as hell with little to no decent pressure tools or lows to even take advantage of the "aggressive" playstyle Namco is promoting for this game and the recent patch focused solely on giving him slightly better +frames attacks while BT and called it a day. fuck outta here scamco
