the production quality of this video is AMAZING! Felt like I was watching a Hollywood level ad. The cinematography, the sound design, the storyline, perfectly executed. As a young filmmaker this really inspires me to get out there and shoot, cant wait to see what else you create 🙌
Kuba, it means so much to me to hear that! That detailed feedback from somebody who knows about film... Thank you immensely!!! 🙏 I wish you the best when you get out there and shoot!
Loving this soooo much - haven't laughed this hard while watching a video... ever:) Desperately need more of these:)
That´s so incredible to hear! Made my whole weekend :) Thank you so much!
I had no idea Scotland had such incredible scenery. And I was born there. Thank you.
Glad I could help you to realize that :) Now get out and check it out for yourself!
@@rprbeck it’s a must now 🤝
Really well done! BRAVO! We missed Drone Seekers today travelling.... found ya just now and so glad we did. Chuck and Lori
Thank you a ton! Really happy to hear :)
@@rprbeck we're watching the replay and are sad we couldn't be in the chat. Jackie may have mentioned we visited Scotland in September 2021... Skye was beautiful but the weather was not very drone friendly! You're getting some epic stuff with Avata and your own music is amazing.
@@Kovaction Yes, Skye is absolutely beautiful but we also didn´t have much luck with the weather 🙈 And thank you again sooo much! It´s incredible to get this kind of feedback!
Thank you so much! I'm waiting for my avata to arrive and this is gold
My pleasure! Have fun with your Avata!
this is absolute comedy gold holy crap i love this video
Hahaha thank you so much!!! I really appreciate it!
Same situation right now. Just buy the drone and learn how to do it after...what can go wrong, am I right?
Love the creativity! Keep it up!
That's the Motto! Have fun :)
Haha, that was brilliant Richard! Steve sent your link to me, I’m hoping you’ll agree to his request to be on our drone show Drone Seekers International. Brill video and storyline, hope you’ll keep flying the Avata, I love mine!! Subbed, Jackie
Jep, I saw that! Thank you guys so much for having me! It was a wonderful experience I won't forget so quickly :)

the way you edited this is amazing, im a videographer and editor so for me it was impressive, new follower here
That's lovely to hear! Thank you so much :)
I’d love to see you’re process on grading this footage. It looks great. Are you grading from scratch or using luts? A video on color grading Avata footage would be awesome!
Hey Brandon, so nice to hear, thanks a ton! Honestly it do not think that it makes much sense to make a video on it, but I'll share my process with you real quick: I record in the Log Mode of the Avata, then play with LUTs. As the Log is quite contrasty, a lot of LUTs made for Rec709 might work instantly, if not add some contrast and saturation and there you go. I most often combine a couple of different LUTs from my collection and then fine tune it from there, depending on what the shot needs. Additionally, for these shots I added Noise reduction at the end of the process to also get rid of some color banding that sometimes happens with harder grades. On top, I gave the edges some chromatic abberation which gives the image a bit more sharpness and hides the fact that it is quite mushy. Hope that helps :)
@@rprbeck awesome man! Any out packs you would suggest?
@@BrandonCawood I find myself using a lot of the Film LUTs from FilmRiot, the Teal and Orange ones from Lutify.me and sometimes the ones from Danny Gervitz.
@@rprbeck awesome man. Thanks, I’ve got a lot from lutify me. I don’t use a lot of luts on a normal basis. I typically work from scratch. The Komodo has spoiled me with how good footage looks with very little effort. I just love the looks you’re getting in this Avata footage so I thought I’d ask! Keep it up man!
@@BrandonCawood My pleasure man! I like to grade pretty heavy/cinematic most of the time and as my main focus is on the directing, grading everything from scratch just takes up too much time. :)
Your videos literally gave me the confidence to start the fpv realms. 🎉🎉 kudos ✨
Quick one though, what gimbal angle are you using in avata in Manual. Also are you using the same angle while in liftoff. Would appreciate your inputs. Thanks man👍👍
That's propably one of the best things I've heard so far 🙏🙏🙏 Thank you!
I usually fly between 30 and 40°.
If you want to fly "slower" go somewhere between 10-25
man, this is gold ❤
🤣🤣🤣🤣 dude this channel deserved so much more subscribers. Excellent video production and quality is on point.
😂😂Thank you so much! Totally agree :)
Came across your video by chance and it made me laugh so I slapped a like on it 🤙🏼
Does the Avata have a step by step tutorial on how to fly it or is the simulator a must? I know the first FPV drone from DJI had a step by step feature and simulator but i much prefer the the Avata tbh.
Thanks so much! It´s awesome to hear that :) I only used the free DJI Simulator once on my brothers iPad as I don't have apple devices. I think there is a step by step tutorial in there. You can also use the motion controller (that Joystick looking-like thing) and I heard it's pretty straight forward with this but mine didn't work.
You can also start the drone with the FPV controller and go into manual mode, but the first time you do it, the drone won't allow you to flip it. That helps with getting used to the controls and without flipping it accidentally and running it into the ground.
That being said, I think none of those options will really help you to feel comfortable to steer the drone. The Liftoff simulator is far more realistic as the one from DJI and I spent hours everyday in there (even do it now from time to time). The fact that you can crash as often as you want without consequence is without doubt the most important factor for letting the controls become second to nature to you. I'd say it is an absolute must and more than worth the money. Cause on top of all that, it is really fun to fly in there :)
And the Avata is in my opinion the best possible fav drone you can get as a beginner. Especially because it's quite forgiving when it comes to crashes. Had some hard ones so far and the drone is still in perfect condition!
Supergeil!
Super danke!
haha man this is awesome quality content!
Thank you so much! It's great to hear :)
Man you're amazing! :))
