I suffer from claustrophobia, but these capsules seem so ideal for people who want a simple and solo place to sleep, so definitely something I would consider if I ever got the amazing opportunity to visit Japan.

I stayed at The Millenials in Kyoto, and heard this recently opened in Tokyo. Amazing capsule hotel but more like a luxurious backpacker hostel - it has everything you need! Also, free tap beer for one hour each evening! 🍺

I never realised Capsule Hotels were like this , I thought they were all like single bed pod things
they usually are a lot smaller, and it's hard to find one that offers mixed staying, they usually only have separated options for men and women (or only men)..which is understandable because the capsules usually are unsafe as fuck lol
Mostly they are ! This was more of a luxury capsule hotel. For budget tourists there is better value for money elsewhere, unless you really like this concept or location. For the same or less money you could stay in a business hotel such as Toyoko Inn or Super Hotel, they have locations all over tokyo. I'm not complaining about the video, because I thought it was interesting and I liked the hotel, I'm just pointing out for people on a budget they can find a small hotel room for less money.
XX Soooo if i travel to japan and stay in a capsule hotel (cuss i'm broke af) i should bring a bat with me ?
they are....this is fancy/more space kind of pod. definitely not the norm.

I checked the price for a night and it’s $100 a night and on sale for $81, and that’s expensive but you’re really paying for the quality and the technology amenities and the iPhone control

Probably. It would be highly disrespectful to not follow the guidelines of the premises, and it would just not be worth not obeying the rules. Respect is a great deal in Japan, so I'm pretty sure they would have not gone opposite of following what they've been asked and agreed to do.

Some rooms also have a projector that projects onto the sliding screen/door, so you can watch movies in your capsule.

There are free for guests to take home so you don't need to steal them! it is like giving the combs and toothbrushes back after using them LOL !!

When I was in Japan I realized never split apart in a department store or 9 lvl Bic Camera because you will spend a hour looking for each other.

Literally just posted my vlog on visiting the Kyoto branch - LOVED IT SO MUCH! The designs in the Shibuya hotel are amazing though - what a great addition.

OMG, I stayed there last April! It was my first time in a capsule hotel and The Millenials exceeded by expectation. It is indeed the best capsule hotel. I am now missing my pod after watching your vlog. LOL

It's Japan. They are all about cleanliness, efficiency, courtesy, honesty and honor. Bushido.
I have always been fascinated with Japanese culture and watch NHK (English speaking Japanese television network) and would love to go to Japan some day but probably won't be able to and honestly probably couldn't because way too many earthquakes, so NHK is probably as close as I'll ever get.
