This was a great video. I have a son with autism & wanted to cut his hair myself because he doesn’t always stay still & doesn’t like loud noises. This video will help me big time. Thank you so much.
came here looking for references for a drawing i'm doing (i'm really bad at drawing short haircuts) and ended up just getting comfy and watching the whole video. love how you give explanations for everything and it was very relaxing to watch. great haircut :3
Thank you for the video. I've been pretty apprehensive about cutting one of my patients hair at the hospital I work at. He's a teenager who has been stuck in the hospital for about 3 months. He's been asking for me to give him a dark Caesar, but I've been telling him no cuz I didn't want to mess up the top of his head. The only experience I have is cutting my own hair but I'm a 35yr white guy.
I love this video. This use to always be my goto hair cut. Can you please do a video where you explain the different guard numbers? I'm one of those guys who don't know the difference between a 2 or a 1 and barbers always ask you which number you want.
THE CUT appreciate it. I know it sounds stupid, but I've always been embarrassed to ask the barber what it means. They say it like it's something I'm suppose to know.
Nice hair cut I'm a cosmetologist and get mail haircut request 😲and this video just gave me the basics 🙌thank you can you do the same cut with straight hair🤷🏾♀️
So I work at a salon and someone walked in and wanted a dark Caesar. Even though we do work with "ethnic hair", we aren't familiar with barber haircut terms such as dark Caesar. So, when someone came in and asked for this haircut, I didn't exactly know what they wanted. It was a mother and her son, actually. They were from NY and the barber shop they usually go to was closed. Anyways, thanks for explaining this so well... Now I know what it is. Also, why don't you use a straight razor for the edging? Most barber's do, don't they? The trimmers you have work very well...I have a Wahl Sterling and it was great at first but seems as if it's getting dull after having it only a few months.
I didn't feel like it was necessary to use the straight razor on him for this cut. It seemed sharp enough on the edges. I'm not sure if you're referring to your clippers or trimmers than you are having trouble with. If you are having trouble with clippers they may just need to be broken down and cleaned. But if its trimmers you may need them adjusted or a new blade on them.
Here all the way from the Uk because of COVID19 and I as a mother need to learn how to cut my son's,s hair. This is the best tutorial I've seen on TH-cam. 👍🏾👊🏾
A two maybe too high. You can use a 1 open. But if the clipper and guard system your using doesn't come with a 1 1/2 then it's not needed. The 1 1/2 is kind of exclusive to wahl.
@@mrshowtime991 if you have waves use a one open with the gain if its not cutting enough close it half way and keep closing until its cutting the amount you want off. If you dont have waves and you just want a dark caesar take a two closed and go against the gain
Either you didn't watch the full video.. Or you don't know anything about cutting hair. His hair isn't trained for one.. Cutting with the grain can make it look uneven in some spots if the hair isn't trained. I went over the head multiple times. Thanks your comment based on ignorance.
does cutting against the grain really mess up with ur pattern/waves? i have the same issue when i go wtg and the crown area seems to be patchy, then i just get pissed and go against the grain for it to be all even....that mousse where can i cop
Atg with a 3 with give you about a 1 1/2 with the grain which more people with waves get.. But you have to ask them if it's ok to go Atg alot of people sensitive about their waves and won't go for that lol
This guy I'm hair really isn't a good example. I'll do another one soon with someone who actually has waves.. With him I basically brushed the waves to show. He's not a real waver he just brushes his hair on the regular.
I came here to see different views and pointers. I'm glad you mentioned the crown. One of the best tutorials I've seen, in my opinion ✊🏾✊🏾💯
Awesome video! You explained each step so thoroughly so I I was able to learn a great deal. Please keep posting.

Tim Rahshad got it!

Tim Rahshad well that's bullshit we're supposed to know the constitution but we don't.. You have to be taught..
It really look better against the grain but that what the customer want
Great instructional video. Thank u ✊

You can do it with straight hair but you will have to go against the grain.. You can't really cut with the grain on straight hair.
Good job bro. Keep working to perfect your craft

Nice cut tho.
What do you do if you don't have a 1 1\2 guard to go over the dark spots of the hair ? Do you improvise with a 2 or what ?

Yes cutting against the grain will mess up a pattern if it's cut too low. That mousse you can get from your local beauty supply store.
would a #2 atg be considered too low?....oh and btw i just checked walmart site and they have the mousse, good looks@@TREYCUTZ
For some Yea. If you going against the grain on someone that has waves you many not wanna go below a three honestly.
