I was really hoping you would mention Hildegard von Bingen! It takes one kind of bravery to fight on a battlefield or to say something to _someone_ that they might not like. Literally calling out a majority of the upper clergy for their corruption because God told you to is a very different, underappreciated form of bravery. It wasn't an attempt to discredit the church or just lash out like a lot of people now that are just angry. On the contrary, she tried to warn Catholic leaders of her time about the scandal they were committing. She didn't even want to be as harsh as she was asked to be. But she said what she had to in an attempt to rectify some very, very wrong things that were happening. Also, that was really interesting about Flannery O'Conner! I want to check out her writings now. As someone that is currently trying to write something similar (albeit via high fantasy and with less humor as that is not currently a strongpoint of mine) I would really like to see how she balances everything.
And what about Teresa of Avila? She certainly had a big impact in her time and still helps us go deeper in our spiritual life today. Not a complaint. All the women chosen were great and I think they made your point.

Won't someone please, talk to us? It's been four months. What's going on? Y'all brought me to faith and now it looks like Fr. Pat's presence is being removed from the internet. That channel became like a second family to me. I've never had a spiritual home. You're all. All. My little Joyville. Won't we get to hear 'Watch over us' live again? Please someone tell us what's going on. And if you can't, at least tell us what to pray for. Just be alright, I'm begging you. I don't need anything else. I love you

Flannery O’Connor brought be back to Christianity. A timeless and necessary voice exposing the absurdity that often characterizes human nature, but with the redeeming grace of God lurking around every corner.

Mother Mary, St. Joan of Arc, St. Faustina, St. Brigid of Ireland, Mother Theresa, St.Gianna, St. Theresa of Avila.... Well the fact is that the Church has too many women to commemorate.
what about Saint Hildegard of Bingen? that’s the first woman I thought of on this topic.
Fr,i have question ,i am Catholic and i want to know what Corpus and statue of a saint Actually used, I'm confused because (Corpus,Statue of a saint)is not used for worship because that would be worshiping idols so what's the use of (Corpus,Statue Of Saint)on the altar/prayer table (besides venerating)
Do you prefer a phone call or FaceTime? Personally I think of the Statuary as FaceTime for prayer. It’s easier to focus when I have something to draw that focus. Pair that with the beauty. Artwork and artistic ability as a gift from God being used to glorify God… Statuary is Beautiful.
I’ve never heard of Thea Bowman, I need to find her on TH-cam. My favorite on this list is Dorothy Day, I love a paraphrase I heard of her telling her bohemian friends that it wasn’t Jesus’ fault if any of the people who claim to follow him are hypocrites, she was going to dive into his teachings and follow him.
