    Back when videos were called movies and diesels were allowed to blow a little black smoke. Good memories!

    1987 was a tough year! Out of control inflation, crazy high interest rates, Lot of foreclosures, bankruptcies and people losing multi generational farms. It was the very start of the mega farms. That said very glad you shared this video. Great trip back into the past!

    Awesome video. This is my favorite era of farming as far as having fond memories as a boy and loving that era of jd equipment …I realize they were actually some of the toughest x to farm

    Great video of good times. The mid eighties to mid nineties were in my view best times. The technology and machinery were there to make life easier but they were also simple enough to be affordable and repairable. And I was young then to which was also better

    yes that's true, those were tough times in certain contexts, but i think they were the cooler times. Compared to now? The mid-80s were an absolute dream. Not so much of this digital crap and this fake-stuff. No mobilephones. So much was so much more real. I personally miss that time and those ingenious machines where you didn't need a notebook to fix something. Yes, somehow it was all better... I love these kind of videos. Thanks for uploading!

    They could have easily run front wheel assist 4960’s or 4850’ on those grain carts for a way smother ride and plenty of power leftover.

    • @j.p.faivrefarms
      @j.p.faivrefarms  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Correct on power, but we found that 4wd tractors cultivated ridges better than the 4X50 series, so we had more of them. And 87 was really wet up here. The 8x30 handled mud better,
